Big Brother Naija former housemate Sheggz has continued to address allegations surrounding his finances and his highly publicised relationship with fellow reality star Bella, insisting that claims that she financially supported him during their time together do not make sense.
Speaking during a live session, Sheggz questioned how Bella, who lived with him during their relationship, could have been responsible for feeding him for three years. He maintained that he had been working hard for years and questioned why he would depend on a woman financially.
“How can someone feed me for three years? How can someone who was living with me feed me? How is it possible? How on earth does that make sense?” he said.
Sheggz also questioned why he would want a woman to provide for him, asking whether he was a “user” or someone who lacked sense.
The reality star further said he had not gone online to send screenshots of their private conversations or financial dealings to bloggers. He, however, accused Bella of doing so and questioned how she could claim to love him while allegedly sharing such information.
“We all have screenshots on our phones and bank transactions,” he said.
Sheggz also addressed comments made by fellow BBNaija star Phyna, who had previously spoken about the couple’s relationship. He dismissed her account, describing her as a liar and insisting that she was not present to know what happened between him and Bella.
“Phyna didn’t witness shit; she’s a liar,” he said.
The comments come amid an ongoing dispute between Sheggz and Bella, which has moved beyond social media exchanges and into legal proceedings.
In August, Sheggz confirmed that his relationship with Bella had ended, stating that he did not cheat on her. He said the relationship ended in January 2026 and that subsequent attempts to reconcile did not work.
He later clarified that he had not intended to accuse Bella of being unfaithful. According to him, they shared mutual respect and genuine love during their relationship and what happened between them should not be reduced to speculation or allegations of cheating.
Bella had also spoken about why she initially remained silent about the situation. She said she loved Sheggz and chose to give him another chance because she believed people could grow and change.
She further maintained that her desire to marry Sheggz should not be interpreted as desperation, explaining that recognising when not to marry someone is also a form of discernment.
The dispute escalated legally after Sheggz filed a defamation lawsuit against Bella over allegations that he owed her money.
Bella, through her lawyers, rejected the defamation claims. Her legal team alleged that Sheggz obtained several loans from her through false pretences. They also accused him of breach of promise to marry and misrepresentation of intentions amounting to deceit.
Sheggz’s legal team subsequently presented financial records which they said showed that he was the principal provider throughout the relationship.
On the issue of their failed plans to marry, Sheggz said he genuinely believed their relationship would eventually lead to marriage. However, he said the relationship became strained over time due to persistent disagreements and the involvement of members of Bella’s family.
The legal dispute has also seen Bella make serious allegations against Sheggz in court documents. She accused him of alleged torture, attempted murder, breach of promise to marry and other grievances.
Bella, who is demanding N2.5bn in damages, alleged that she suffered what she described as verbal, emotional, physical and mental torture, as well as alleged buffeting and an attempted murder through asphyxiation.
The allegations remain part of the legal dispute between the former couple, while Sheggz continues to reject claims that he depended financially on Bella during their relationship.
