Nollywood actress Rita Edochie has taken a swipe at Judy Austin in a post about relationships and life lessons following a video of Yul Edochie celebrating actress Lizzy Gold at her all-white birthday party aboard a yacht.
Yul and Lizzy were seen dancing together during the birthday celebration. Shortly after the video drew attention, Rita shared a message about how quickly circumstances can change and why nobody should assume their position in another person's life is guaranteed forever.
Although Rita did not mention Judy by name, her reference to a new bride and her comments about taking another woman's place appeared to point towards the actress. Rita has consistently supported May Edochie amid the public attention surrounding her marriage to Yul.
In her post, Rita said that people who once celebrated another person's loss might eventually find themselves facing similar circumstances.
She wrote:
“God giveth and taketh away. Even the new bride has now confirmed it. What a beautiful way for life to teach a lesson without opening a textbook.
“Some people once believed that taking another woman’s place was the ultimate victory. They forgot that being chosen today does not come with a lifetime guarantee.
“Now, the plot is thickening, the cast is changing, and the audience is watching a story that somehow looks familiar.
“The most entertaining part of life is that nobody needs to remind you of your past words. Circumstances have a way of replaying them for you, sometimes with better actors and a much bigger audience. Sometimes, the person who once celebrated another woman’s loss ends up learning that no position is permanent.
“Life is indeed a movie. The irony is that some people only understand the script when they become the characters.
“God has truly giveth and taketh away. We can only thank God. Indeed, Itsekiri no dey carry last! Kudos to every Warri girl whom God is using to repay evildoers in their own coins.”
Rita's message focused on changing fortunes and the belief that life can teach lessons in unexpected ways. While she did not explain the specific circumstances behind her post, the wording appeared to connect with the ongoing discussions surrounding Yul, Judy and May.
Meanwhile, the video of Yul and Lizzy showed the actors enjoying the birthday celebration. Their appearance together at the event does not, on its own, establish any romantic relationship between them.
Rita ended her message by expressing gratitude to God and praising Warri women, maintaining her position on the idea that circumstances can change and that nobody's place in another person's life is guaranteed.
