Rema Says Only A DM From Elon Musk Could Still Leave Him Speechless

Rema may have already reached the kind of success many young artists dream about, but there are still a few things that could leave him genuinely amazed.

One of them has nothing to do with music charts, expensive cars or luxury items. For Rema, it could simply be a message from Elon Musk.

The singer recently spoke about the people and moments that have made him appreciate the level of success some individuals have reached. Aliko Dangote came up during the conversation, with Rema recalling what it was like to sit with the Nigerian billionaire.

“I won’t say, like, feel broke. I was just sitting with the richest black man in history, you know, Dangote,” Rema said.

What caught Rema’s attention was not a flashy display of wealth. He said there was no need for Dangote to arrive with something extravagant before the reality of who he was became clear.

“It’s crazy, his presence. It’s not like I saw some private jet or some crazy watch,” he said.

“That’s just the richest black man, bro! That’s a flex in itself. What more do you need?”

Rema also remembered the first time he met Dangote and how casually they shared a meal.

“Very great, humble man, very smart, very wise. I think the first day we met we ate on the same plate,” he said.

There was another part of the conversation that brought up Arsenal. Rema is a supporter of the English club, and he remembered Dangote’s long-running interest in buying the team.

“I just remember when he was going to buy my club, Arsenal. I was waiting for him,” Rema said.

That comment was about Dangote’s interest in Arsenal, not Rema owning the football club. Dangote had previously spoken publicly about wanting to acquire Arsenal, although the plan never happened.

Then came the name of someone else who could make things very interesting for Rema: Elon Musk.

The singer said receiving a direct message from the billionaire entrepreneur would be something he would find difficult to ignore. A possible business opportunity involving Tesla would certainly get his attention, while an invitation connected to SpaceX would take things even further.

For Rema, a message from Musk would be different from the usual celebrity interaction. He imagined Musk reaching out about a Tesla campaign or even offering him the chance to travel to space with SpaceX.

That possibility, he suggested, would genuinely be a big deal.

It is an interesting contrast. Rema can sit across the table from one of Africa’s wealthiest men and remember the experience of simply sharing a plate of food. Yet, when asked what could still leave him amazed, his mind goes somewhere much further  a DM from Elon Musk, a Tesla collaboration or perhaps a seat on a SpaceX mission.

For an artist who has already achieved a lot at a young age, those are some pretty extraordinary things still left on the wish list.
