TikTok star and content creator Jarvis has reprimanded her husband, streamer Peller, over his frequent use of Nigerian Pidgin, urging him to speak English, particularly phonetics, while communicating with her during her pregnancy.
Jarvis expressed her displeasure during a livestream on Switch, where she was seen on a video call with Peller. The streamer was speaking in Pidgin when his wife interrupted him and told him to change the way he spoke, insisting that their unborn child could already recognise his voice.
In the video, Jarvis questioned whether Peller understood that the baby could hear him and urged him to stop speaking Pidgin around her.
“You dey behave anyhow. Don’t you know that this child can recognise your voice. He dey hear you. Abeg no dey speak pidgin for me. Stop speaking pidgin, speak English with me, speak phonetics with me babe,” she said.
Her comments have attracted attention online, with the exchange offering another glimpse into the couple’s interactions as they prepare to welcome their first child together.
The incident comes after the couple announced that they were expecting a baby following months of denying reports about the pregnancy.
Couple Prepares For Arrival Of First Child
Ahead of the baby’s arrival, Peller has spoken about his plans to celebrate Jarvis with a push gift.
The streamer disclosed that he was considering buying her a Chanel bag worth $40,000, explaining that he believed the luxury accessory would be a better choice than a car, which he suggested she might not value as much.
The couple has also opened TikTok and Instagram accounts for their unborn child, whom they have named Baby Adelaja.
The move has generated interest among their followers, many of whom have continued to follow updates about the pregnancy and the couple’s preparations for parenthood.
In another livestream, Peller revealed that he wanted a female child and promised to give his daughter the best life possible.
He insisted that he was serious about his commitment, saying he was not merely making promises for public attention and intended to give his daughter everything he could.
His remarks have added to the attention surrounding the couple as they prepare for the birth of their first child.
Jarvis Previously Expressed Disappointment Over Honeymoon
Last month, Jarvis opened up about her honeymoon experience, revealing that it did not meet her expectations.
The content creator said she did not enjoy the trip, explaining that her experience fell short of what she had imagined a honeymoon should be.
During their honeymoon in the United Kingdom, Jarvis reportedly broke down over what she described as neglect from her husband.
She said Peller ignored her call, leaving her upset and lonely in their apartment. She also claimed that she was responsible for cleaning the apartment while pregnant.
Her account drew attention to the couple’s relationship, with the experience becoming another subject of discussion among social media users.
The latest exchange over Peller’s use of Pidgin has further placed their interactions in the spotlight, although the livestream itself centred on how he communicated with her during the pregnancy.
From Engagement To Marriage
Peller proposed to Jarvis, his longtime girlfriend, in June. The proposal took place in an intimate beachside setting at La Palm Royal Beach Hotel in Ghana.
Jarvis accepted the proposal while shedding tears of joy, marking a major milestone in their relationship.
A week after the engagement, Peller reportedly paid her bride price in her hometown of Benin City, Edo State.
The couple subsequently formalised their union with a court wedding on Wednesday, July 29. The ceremony was attended by media personality Daddy Freeze and other guests.
Three days later, on August 1, they held their traditional wedding in a lavish ceremony attended by several entertainment personalities.
Among those present were actress Iyabo Ojo, her daughter Priscilla Ojo and Priscilla’s husband, Juma Jux. Other guests included Foluke Daramola, Wunmi Ajiboye, Soso Soberekon, Cubana Chief Priest and Seun Kuti.
Since their engagement and wedding, the couple’s relationship has continued to attract public interest, particularly through their livestreams and social media posts.
With their first child expected, Jarvis and Peller have increasingly shared moments surrounding their preparations for parenthood.
Their latest exchange, in which Jarvis urged Peller to speak English and phonetics rather than Pidgin, has provided another talking point for followers watching their journey into family life.
