Nollywood has added another title to its growing collection of digital releases with the arrival of In His Shoes, a new movie featuring Osas Ighodaro, Etim Effiong, Sonia Uche and Osereme Inegbenebor.
The film was officially released online on Wednesday, October 28, 2026, giving viewers the opportunity to watch it from home rather than through a traditional cinema release.
The production is available on the Sonia Uche TV YouTube channel, where audiences can access the movie through the online platform. Its release adds to the increasing number of Nigerian films being distributed directly to digital audiences.
With a cast featuring actors from different parts of the Nollywood industry, In His Shoes brings together several familiar faces for a production aimed at reaching viewers through online entertainment.
The film’s release also reflects the growing role of YouTube in the distribution of Nigerian movies, particularly productions that make their debut outside conventional cinema schedules.
A notable cast leads the production
One of the major attractions of In His Shoes is its ensemble cast, which includes Osas Ighodaro, Etim Effiong, Sonia Uche and Osereme Inegbenebor.
Osas Ighodaro is known for her work across Nigerian film and television productions. Over the years, she has appeared in projects that have strengthened her presence in the entertainment industry, earning recognition for her performances in different roles.
Etim Effiong has also built a profile in Nollywood through his appearances in films and television dramas. His work has seen him take on a variety of characters, contributing to his standing among actors working in the Nigerian film industry.
Sonia Uche, who is also associated with the film’s online distribution through her YouTube channel, has developed an audience through her acting projects and digital movie releases. Her involvement places the production within the expanding market for Nollywood films distributed directly to online viewers.
Osereme Inegbenebor completes the group of featured performers announced for the movie.
The combination of these actors is expected to draw attention from fans who follow their individual careers and are interested in seeing them in a new production.
However, further details about the film’s storyline, the characters played by the cast members and the creative team behind the production were not provided in the release information available for this report.
Movie embraces online distribution
Unlike films that begin their commercial journey in cinemas before moving to streaming platforms, In His Shoes has adopted an online-first release strategy.
The movie became available on October 28, allowing viewers to access it through the Sonia Uche TV YouTube channel.
The approach offers audiences an alternative way to engage with Nollywood productions without having to visit a cinema. It also gives filmmakers and distributors an opportunity to reach viewers in different locations through a platform that can be accessed using internet-connected devices.
YouTube has become an important outlet for Nigerian movie releases, with several actors and production outfits using dedicated channels to distribute films and build direct relationships with their audiences.
For viewers, the model provides the convenience of watching movies at a time and place that suits them, depending on internet access and the availability of the title in their location.
The release of In His Shoes therefore adds another entry to the catalogue of Nollywood films available to digital audiences.
