“He Wanted A Family At All Cost Even After His First Marriage Failed” — MC Fish’s New Partner

MC Fish’s failed marriage to actress Anita Joseph did not make him give up on the idea of having a family, according to his new partner, Gbemso.

Gbemso explained that when she and MC Fish met, he was still interested in settling down and building the kind of family he had always wanted. She believes that desire was strong enough to make him willing to try marriage again, despite what happened in his first marriage.

The couple discussed their relationship during an interview on 93.5 Area FM, where MC Fish was asked why he decided to open his heart to love again.

The presenter noted that people sometimes spend years concentrating on their careers, finances and personal goals before deciding that they are ready for a serious relationship. He wanted to know what MC Fish saw in Gbemso that made him willing to take another chance on marriage after his previous relationship ended.

Rather than give the answer herself based on what she had observed, Gbemso explained how she understood her husband’s decision.

She said MC Fish had always placed a lot of importance on having a family. Even though his first attempt at marriage did not work out, she said that experience did not erase his desire to have a family of his own.

“In my theory I think that he wanted to have family at all cost… even as that one now broke, like as the first trial didn’t work, he still want get in own family na something wey him want get wey they important to am,” Aya said.

For Gbemso, the fact that MC Fish was willing to love again showed that his plans for family life remained important to him. His previous marriage may have ended, but it did not change what he wanted for the future.

The relationship between the two also moved fairly quickly after they met. Gbemso revealed that they first crossed paths on October 5, and by the time of the interview, they were just days away from marking one year together.

“So when we jam honestly which was fifth of October, 1 year anniversary is coming up like in three days,” she added.

Her account paints MC Fish’s second marriage as a fresh start rather than a decision made simply because his first marriage had ended. According to Gbemso, the desire to have a family remained at the centre of what he wanted, and meeting her gave him another opportunity to pursue that goal.

After his marriage to Anita Joseph came to an end, MC Fish could have chosen to stay away from marriage altogether. Instead, he remained open to another relationship and eventually found himself starting a new chapter with Gbemso.

For the couple, their relationship has now moved beyond the early stages, with their first anniversary approaching. Gbemso’s comments also give some insight into why MC Fish was willing to take another step into marriage despite his previous experience.
