Nollywood actor and filmmaker Frederick Leonard has announced his upcoming movie, Out Of Time, a story centred on a mother’s determination to save her child regardless of the challenges standing in her way.
Leonard shared details of the project on his social media pages, describing it as a story about love, sacrifice, desperation and the lengths a mother can go to protect her child.
At the centre of the film is Ibinabo, a mother whose circumstances force her into an increasingly difficult battle. According to Leonard’s description, she is running out of time as she struggles to save the person she cannot afford to lose.
The filmmaker posed a central question around the story: how far would a mother go to save her child?
For Ibinabo, the answer is simple — whatever it takes.
Sarian Martin Leads The Story
Actress Sarian Martin takes on the central role of Ibinabo, portraying a woman pushed beyond the limits of endurance by the circumstances surrounding her son.
Leonard described Ibinabo as someone who does not seek wealth or an extravagant life. Her desire is focused on one thing — keeping her son alive.
“She doesn’t want the world. She doesn’t want riches. She just wants her son to live,” Leonard wrote.
The description places a mother’s love at the heart of Out Of Time, with Ibinabo’s journey shaped by the difficult choices she must make while attempting to save her child.
Her circumstances leave her battling more than one challenge. Poverty, desperation and circumstances beyond her control become part of the race she is forced to run, while she must also confront her own limitations.
A Story Of Sacrifice And Determination
Out Of Time is presented as a story about what happens when a person is pushed to the edge by a situation they cannot simply walk away from.
For Ibinabo, saving her son becomes the priority, even as the pressure surrounding her continues to increase. The film explores the sacrifices that can come with such determination and the personal cost of fighting for someone you love.
Leonard’s description also raises another question: what happens when someone finally gets what they desperately fought for?
That question adds another layer to the story, suggesting that Ibinabo’s journey may not simply be about reaching her goal but also about confronting what comes afterwards.
The film’s title, Out Of Time, reflects the urgency at the centre of the narrative, with Ibinabo facing a situation in which every moment matters.
