Nollywood actor and filmmaker Femi Adebayo, actress Genoveva Umeh and filmmaker Kayode Kasum are among the prominent personalities scheduled to participate in the 2026 Nigerian Entertainment Conference (NECLive).

The annual gathering will take place on November 12 at Alliance Française de Lagos in Ikoyi, bringing together professionals across Nigeria’s entertainment and creative industries to discuss business opportunities, industry development and international expansion.

This year’s conference is themed “Home Advantage: Transforming Local Demand into Global Power.” Discussions will centre on how practitioners can maximise Nigeria’s substantial entertainment audience to generate sustainable income locally while expanding their presence in international markets.

Other film and television personalities expected at the event include Chimezie Imo, Uzoamaka Power, Efa Iwara and filmmaker Dika Ofoma. Public relations specialist Jennifer Ukoh Osamwonyi is also among the announced speakers.

The conference will extend beyond filmmaking, with a dedicated music business segment featuring executives Godwin Tom, Foza Fawehinmi, Excel Joab and Bizzle Osikoya. Talent manager Femisoro Ajayi will also participate in discussions about the music industry.

The sound and culture segment will feature DJ Obi, singer Greatman Takit, Dr Foy, media personality Gbemi Olateru Olagbegi and Tobi Mohammed.

Meanwhile, the business and leadership sessions will bring together professionals from different sectors.

The speakers include regional managers Njideka Akabogu and Iretomiwa Akintunde Johnson, chief executive Oluwaseye Oladejo, TSC Agency founder Ozinna Anumudu and Joseph Enesu, who leads AI Labs.

Comedian and compere Tee A is expected to return as the conference host. Organisers have indicated that further announcements concerning co-hosts, moderators and interviewers will be made ahead of the event.

NECLive convener Ayeni Adekunle said the conference would prioritise strategies for converting the popularity of Nigerian entertainment into measurable economic gains.

According to Adekunle, the country’s creative sector already commands a substantial audience, but industry stakeholders must develop ways to translate that interest into lasting commercial value within Nigeria and beyond its borders.

He noted that the announced participants had demonstrated success in their respective fields, making their experiences relevant to conversations about building a stronger creative economy.

The conference is expected to provide a platform for filmmakers, musicians, executives, entrepreneurs and other industry professionals to exchange ideas on improving business practices and strengthening the sector’s long-term prospects.

With speakers drawn from entertainment, public relations, music, leadership and technology, NECLive 2026 aims to encourage collaboration and explore practical approaches to making Nigeria’s creative industries more commercially sustainable and globally competitive.
