Hours after sharing maternity photos with his wife, Jarvis, Nigerian streamer Peller has opened up about the emotional challenge of keeping their baby news private, admitting that concealing the development from his fans was unlike him.

The content creator made the revelation during a livestream, where he apologised to himself for keeping the news under wraps for so long. Known for sharing aspects of his personal life with his audience, Peller said the decision to remain silent had become increasingly difficult as they waited for the right time to make the announcement.

“First of all, I want to beg myself. I want to apologise to myself for keeping this secret. Peller, you are a good guy. Bro, this is my first time in my life that I'm keeping a secret. My belle dey always pain every night. I don too keep things, like it's too much. I can't take it anymore,” he said.

Peller explained that he and Jarvis had been waiting to achieve a particular goal before publicly sharing news of their baby. According to him, even Jarvis had grown tired of keeping the matter private and wanted the announcement to be made.

“There was something we wanted to achieve before we posted our baby. Even my baby said, ‘Post this thing, I'm tired.’ It's me that told her to calm down. I don mature. I'm not 21 years old again. I want to go and do re-changing of birth certificate. I'm 34 years old. I'm thinking very elderly. I kept things; I tire. Bro, I've never had a secret in my life. This is my biggest secret,” he added.

The streamer also described the situation as unusual for someone who enjoys sharing personal moments with fans. He admitted that he struggled to decide how to reveal the news, despite his desire to let his audience in on the development.

“Me that I like to share things with my fans, I didn't know how to come about it that I want to share this thing. And I want to beg everybody, I fit vex for you. Please, as you know, it's a baby that's coming, so no call am eba or Daddy Eba,” Peller said.

His request about the baby’s nickname comes after months of public speculation surrounding Jarvis’ appearance and possible pregnancy. During that period, Jarvis had repeatedly pushed back against claims that she was expecting a child, at one point attributing her fuller appearance to the eba she ate. Her comments became part of the online conversations surrounding the couple.

Peller also previously dismissed pregnancy rumours, leaving fans to speculate about the couple’s plans until they shared their maternity photos.

The latest revelation offers an explanation for why the couple chose to keep the development private despite the attention surrounding their relationship. Peller’s comments indicate that the decision was tied to a personal milestone they wanted to achieve before making the news public.

Now that the couple has shared the maternity photos, Peller appears ready to let fans in on this chapter of their lives, while making one request clear: they should refrain from giving their child the nickname “Eba.”
