Nigerian Afrobeats superstar Burna Boy is taking his partnership with Swiss sportswear company On to the next level with the launch of his first-ever sneaker collection with the brand.

The three-piece collection will officially go on sale on Thursday, October 22, through On’s stores and website, as well as selected retailers including Foot Locker. The sneakers will be available in unisex sizes, with prices ranging from $150 to $180.

The collection reflects three major areas of On’s business — running, tennis and lifestyle — while incorporating Burna Boy’s influence through distinctive colours, materials and design details.

Three Sneakers Headline Collection

Leading the collection is a special edition of On’s Cloudmonster running shoe, which will retail for $180.

The sneaker comes in a deep red shade known as Sienna, with the upper and cushioned sole presented in the same colour. The design maintains the familiar Cloudmonster silhouette while giving it a bold and distinctive appearance.

The second release is the Cloudtilt Remix, designed primarily for everyday wear and walking. It will be sold for $170 and features an Ox Brown colour scheme. Unlike the standard model, which typically comes with a white sole, Burna Boy’s version features a matching brown finish.

Completing the collection is the Roger Clubhouse, a tennis-inspired model priced at $150. The sneaker comes in white and replaces the standard mesh upper with leather.

It also includes metal eyelets, an embossed On logo and visible stitching around the heel, giving the footwear a more refined appearance.

Despite the changes in colours and materials, all three sneakers retain the established silhouettes of their respective On models. The designs also steer away from oversized branding, allowing the construction and colour choices to stand out.

Burna Boy’s Role With On

The sneaker collection comes more than a year after On announced its multi-year partnership with Burna Boy, whose real name is Damini Ebunoluwa Ogulu.

The partnership, announced in September 2025, saw the singer appointed “Clubhouse President”, a role linked to the company’s tennis-focused activities and its Clubhouse Nights events.

Clubhouse Nights combines tennis, music and art and has been held in major cities including New York, Miami and Paris. Burna Boy headlined the Paris edition earlier in 2025 before later hosting a private event at On’s Clubhouse in Lagos towards the end of the year.

At the time the partnership was announced, Burna Boy spoke about the connection between his music career and the broader worlds of culture and sport.

“It’s all connected,” he said. “On gets that. Our partnership is about shaking things up and creating new energy in the world of sports.”

On CEO Martin Hoffmann similarly highlighted the singer’s cultural influence, saying Burna Boy “doesn’t just make music; he moves communities.”

On’s Growing Global Profile

On was founded in Zurich in 2010 by former Swiss triathlete Olivier Bernhard and entrepreneurs David Allemann and Caspar Coppetti. Tennis legend Roger Federer became an investor in the company in 2019 and has since contributed to footwear development.

The company went public on the New York Stock Exchange in 2021 and has also developed a major partnership with Hollywood actress Zendaya, who joined the brand in June 2024 and has collaborated on footwear designs.

On has continued to report strong financial results, with revenue rising 13.5 per cent to CHF850.3 million ($1.03 billion) in the three months ending in June. Net income reached CHF105 million ($127 million), compared with a loss during the same period a year earlier.

The company expects full-year revenue of between CHF3.47 billion and CHF3.56 billion.

Burna Boy’s International Influence

Burna Boy remains one of Africa’s most internationally recognised music stars. He won the Grammy Award for Best Global Music Album in 2021 for Twice as Tall.

In July 2023, he became the first African artist to headline and sell out a US stadium when he performed at Citi Field in New York.

Signed to Atlantic Records since 2017, Burna Boy also runs Spaceship Entertainment, which he founded in 2015. His eighth studio album, No Sign of Weakness, was released in July 2025.

The new sneaker collection further extends his influence beyond music, bringing his cultural identity into the worlds of fashion, sport and lifestyle.
