Whitemoney has drawn a line under allegations made by Nollywood actor Uche Maduagwu, warning that the matter could now move beyond social media and into the hands of his lawyers.
The reality TV star reacted after Maduagwu made claims about his background and questioned his connection to his hometown. In his post, the actor alleged that Whitemoney was deliberately keeping certain details about his Igbo identity away from the public.
Maduagwu also brought up the issue of the Osu caste system, making a direct allegation against the BBNaija winner and asking him to explain why he allegedly does not visit his village.
He wrote:
“Tell Nigerians why you avoid going to your own village. Is it not because you are OSU? Even if everyone dey criticise me, I will never allow you to do it to me.
“For those who don’t know about White Money’s story, especially about being an OSU, we get all the information, why is he hiding his true Igbo identity?”.
Whitemoney did not take the accusations lightly. Rather than ignore the post, he responded with a sharp message of his own, making it clear that he considered Maduagwu’s allegations serious enough to warrant legal action.
The reality star recalled knowing Maduagwu from his days in Surulere, when he was still trying to make a living and navigating different hustles.
He said:
“I knew you when I was in Surulere hustling and doing many things but I never knew you were this stupid. You’re the only Nollywood actor that has never acted in a movie.”
Whitemoney's response then became more confrontational as he warned Maduagwu about what could happen if they happened to meet in person.
“Don’t worry, I know say you dey enjoy beating but this time around, just pray that I don’t see you. Pray that I don’t see you with my eyes. Bro, if me and you cross paths, you go understand but before then, you’re gonna hear from my lawyer for this defamatory speech you just made in the name of chasing clout", he stated.
The main issue for Whitemoney appears to be the allegation concerning his identity and the reference to him being Osu. He has rejected the claims and described Maduagwu's statement as defamatory.
His decision to mention his lawyers indicates that he intends to challenge the allegations through legal channels rather than allow the matter to remain as an exchange of accusations online.
