Nollywood actress and television presenter Damilola Oni has opened up about her relationship status, explaining why attention from men has not translated into a romantic relationship.
The actress made it clear that having several admirers does not automatically mean she is interested in them.
According to her, some of the men who approach her simply do not match the qualities or preferences she is looking for in a partner.
Oni explained that she has become accustomed to receiving messages from male admirers, particularly through social media.
While some of these interactions may be intended as compliments, she said others cross the line and become inappropriate.
The actress revealed that men sometimes send unsolicited messages to her through her direct messages and social media comment sections. She said some admirers have made uncomfortable comments about their reactions to seeing her on television.
Rather than engaging with such messages, Oni said she normally chooses to ignore them.
Her comments highlight the difference between receiving attention and actually finding someone with whom she wants to build a relationship.
For the actress, the number of people showing interest does not determine whether she will enter a relationship.
Oni has built a career that spans acting and television presentation. She has become known for her appearances in Yoruba-language productions as well
