Nollywood actor and comedian Afeez Oyetoro, popularly known as Saka, has opened up about his professional relationship with fellow actor and filmmaker Femi Adebayo, highlighting how their working relationship has developed over the years.

Saka spoke about the relationship during an interview with African A-List, where he reflected on his early days of working with Femi and the changes he has witnessed in the actor's career.

According to the veteran performer, Femi was already creating opportunities for him when he was operating on a much smaller scale.

Saka recalled that there was a time when Femi paid him N30,000 for his work. However, he said their professional relationship has grown considerably, with Femi now offering him major roles and paying him millions of naira for his services.

Saka described Femi as someone who takes his work seriously and remains committed to achieving his goals. He praised the actor for being hardworking and honest, while also describing him as a workaholic who understands the entertainment business.

The actor further spoke positively about his relationship with members of Femi Adebayo's generation in the Yoruba film industry.

He mentioned notable actors such as Odunlade Adekola and Ibrahim Chatta, saying that he maintains a good relationship with them.

Saka's comments offer an insight into the professional relationships that exist within Nigeria's film industry, particularly among actors who have worked together across different projects and stages of their careers.

The actor has also previously spoken about his experiences working with other major names in Nollywood. In an earlier interview, he discussed his relationship with actress Funke Akindele and praised her approach to filmmaking.

Addressing perceptions that Akindele can be strict on set, Saka explained that he sees such discipline as necessary when working on projects involving significant financial investments. He said she takes her work seriously and does not encourage laziness among members of her team.

Beyond his career, Saka has also shared personal experiences from his life. In a previous conversation with Chude Jideonwo, he recalled a relationship that ended after the woman he wanted to marry reportedly insisted that he own two cars.

The actor also reflected on the impact of an MTN advertisement on his career. He explained that the commercial played an important role in transforming his public image and helping him become widely recognised across Nigeria.

Saka has equally discussed his appearance, revealing that his hair loss was connected to a theatre role he undertook while at university rather than simply being a result of getting older. He has also addressed perceptions about his personality, explaining that the character audiences see on screen is different from how he behaves privately.

On his family life, the actor and his wife, Saidat Olaide, previously marked their 15th wedding anniversary. Saka has also spoken publicly about remaining faithful to his marriage, recalling occasions when he faced advances from women but chose to resist the temptation.

His latest comments about Femi Adebayo once again highlight the long-standing professional connections that have helped shape his career within Nollywood.
