Nollywood crew member Queen Esther Udeh has shared what she described as a direct message from actress Destiny Etiko after making allegations about an encounter between them on a movie set.
The controversy stems from comments Esther previously made during an appearance on the Where Is The Lie podcast, where she discussed an alleged experience involving Etiko while they were working on a film.
Esther had claimed that Etiko warned her against coming close while the actress was filming. According to the crew member, the actress threatened to take her phone, throw it away and slap her if she approached her.
The allegations later attracted attention online after Esther spoke about how the alleged interaction made her uncomfortable.
Esther Recalls Alleged Encounter
Speaking on the podcast, Esther claimed that Etiko’s alleged reaction left her questioning herself and wondering whether there was something about her appearance that had caused the actress to react that way.
She said the situation became so uncomfortable that she began wondering whether there was something wrong with her appearance or if she was “smelling”.
Esther’s account resurfaced on social media after she posted a screenshot of what she identified as a private message from Etiko.
The screenshot, which Esther described as a DM from the actress, allegedly showed Etiko demanding that the crew member provide evidence to support the claims she had made.
In the alleged message, Etiko also warned Esther of possible legal consequences over what the actress described as false claims involving her name.
“I must find you, and you must prove yourself; otherwise, you will face the law for calling out my name with lies. I already have your video saved as evidence.
“You must prove it,” the message reportedly read.
The authenticity of the screenshot and the circumstances surrounding the alleged exchange were not independently established in the information provided.
Crew Member Stands By Her Claims
Following the alleged message, Esther maintained her account of what she said happened on the movie set.
Sharing the screenshot on social media, she accused Etiko of threatening to have her arrested because of the comments she made during the podcast interview.
“Destiny Etiko sent me this DM, threatening to find and arrest me in response to the interview where I said she slapped me and smashed my phone because I wanted to take a picture with her on set. I still stand by what I said, and here’s the proof,” Esther wrote.
Her post has added another layer to the dispute, with the crew member presenting the alleged DM as evidence of the actress’ response to her earlier comments.
The disagreement centres on Esther’s claims about what allegedly happened during their encounter and Etiko’s reported demand that she prove the allegations.
Dispute Draws Attention Online
The matter has generated interest among social media users because it involves claims made by a crew member against a well-known Nollywood actress.
Esther’s initial comments focused on what she described as Etiko’s treatment of her on set, while the alleged message centres on the actress’ reported response to those claims.
The crew member has continued to stand by her version of events despite the reported warning of legal action.
For now, the allegations remain claims made by Esther, while the reported DM represents the response she says she received from Etiko. The information provided does not establish whether any legal action has actually been initiated against the crew member.
The dispute also highlights how interactions between actors and crew members can become public when personal accounts of incidents on film sets are shared online.
Esther’s decision to publish the alleged private message has now brought renewed attention to her earlier podcast appearance and the claims she made against Etiko.
As the controversy continues to attract reactions online, both the alleged encounter and the circumstances surrounding the reported DM remain at the centre of the discussion.
