For Nigerian actor Lateef Adedimeji, becoming a father has brought a new sense of gratitude and responsibility.
The actor recently opened up about the meaning of fatherhood after welcoming triplet boys with his wife, actress Adebimpe Oyebade, popularly known as Mo Bimpe.
Lateef shared his thoughts following a thanksgiving celebration held to mark the arrival of the couple’s three sons.
Reflecting on the experience, he described being called “Father” as more than a title, presenting it as a responsibility, privilege and deeply cherished blessing.
The actor expressed gratitude for the journey that eventually led to the arrival of his children. He described the period before becoming a father as one filled with waiting and prayers, saying the birth of his sons represented an answer to those hopes.
Lateef and Mo Bimpe announced the arrival of their triplet boys on May 1, 2026. The children were later identified as Abdul Ramon, Abdul Rahim and Abdulrokeeb, affectionately known as Rahman, Raheem and Rakeeb.
The arrival of the boys marked an important new chapter for the couple, who have continued to share selected moments from their family life with fans.
Their thanksgiving celebration on August 12 brought together relatives, friends and well-wishers to celebrate the children and express gratitude for their safe arrival.
The occasion also attracted attention for the couple’s traditional fashion choices. Lateef and Mo Bimpe appeared in coordinated outfits, with the actor wearing a richly detailed burgundy Agbada while his wife complemented the look in an elaborate traditional-inspired gown.
They later changed into another set of coordinated outfits featuring cream and gold tones. The different looks added glamour to an event centred primarily on family, gratitude and celebration.
However, beyond the photographs and elaborate outfits, Lateef’s reflection focused on the responsibilities that come with raising children. He expressed his desire to live long enough to guide, protect and teach his sons while becoming a father they can be proud of.
His message offered a glimpse into how seriously he views his new role. Rather than simply celebrating the excitement surrounding the birth of his children, the actor acknowledged the commitment required to raise them and provide the guidance they will need as they grow.
For Lateef and Mo Bimpe, the arrival of their triplets has transformed their family life and created a new reason for celebration.
Their thanksgiving served as an opportunity to publicly express gratitude, while Lateef’s words captured the emotional significance of stepping into fatherhood.
With three sons now at the centre of their family, the actor appears determined to embrace the journey with humility, love and a strong sense of responsibility.
