Peter Okoye has taken a break from the back-and-forth surrounding P-Square to thank the people who have continued to stand by him.
The singer shared a message of appreciation, focusing on the support he has received rather than going into the details of his disagreement with his twin brother, Paul Okoye, and their elder brother, Jude Okoye.
Peter has spent the past few weeks speaking publicly about the issues that have affected his relationship with his brothers. His latest message, however, took a different direction as he acknowledged the people who have remained supportive throughout the period.
He wrote:
“To every single person who has supported me on this journey so far, I want to say a very big THANK YOU.” ❤️🙏
Peter also mentioned the different ways people have shown their support, from sending messages and sharing his posts to streaming his music and praying for him.
“Every message, stream, share, prayer, and word of encouragement means more to me than you know. I see you, I appreciate you, and I’m truly grateful.” 🫶
The singer then described the journey as something he shares with those who have supported him.
“This journey is ours together.” ❤️🔥
He ended the message with another expression of appreciation, writing:
“I LOVE YOU BECAUSE ‘You love yourself’.” 🫶❤️🙅♂️❤️🙅♂️
Peter's message comes about two weeks after he began publicly addressing issues surrounding his relationship with Paul and Jude. His previous statements have brought several details about the brothers' long-running disagreements into public view.
The latest message did not revisit those issues. Instead, Peter chose to acknowledge the people who have continued to support him while the family dispute has played out publicly.
The relationship between Peter and Paul has gone through several difficult periods over the years, despite their success as P-Square. Their disagreements have affected both their personal relationship and their work as a music duo.
Jude, who previously managed the brothers, has also been drawn into the dispute, with Peter raising questions about matters involving the group's finances, royalties and management.
Peter's latest post, however, was focused on something much simpler: gratitude.
He thanked the people who have stayed with him through the difficult period and made it clear that he notices the messages, prayers and other forms of encouragement coming his way.
For now, the singer's latest message does not add another chapter to the dispute. It is instead a direct thank-you to those who have continued to support him while he deals with the issues surrounding his family and P-Square.
