Nollywood actress Uche Ogbodo has opened up about her experience following a recent facial rejuvenation procedure, admitting that she was initially unhappy with her appearance after seeing the early results.

The actress shared a video on Instagram on Friday, giving her followers a close look at her face one day after undergoing the non-surgical cosmetic treatment.

In the video, Ogbodo drew attention to the noticeable swelling on her face and acknowledged that she looked different from her usual appearance. Although she expressed uncertainty about the immediate outcome, the actress said she was hopeful that the swelling would reduce and her face would eventually settle.

Speaking about the early stage of her recovery, Ogbodo admitted that she was not particularly pleased with what she saw in the mirror.

“This is day one after my facial rejuvenation; my whole face is swollen. Honestly, I don’t know. I look so different; I don’t like how I look, but I think it’s going to get better,” she said.

The actress added that her doctor had reassured her that the swelling would eventually subside and that her face would look better as the procedure settled.

“My doctor told me it’s going to get better and look finer, so let’s see what happens,” she added.

Her candid reaction gave fans an insight into the immediate aftermath of a cosmetic procedure, particularly the difference between the initial appearance and the expected final result.

Ogbodo Explains Her Decision

In a separate message accompanying the video, the actress explained that her decision to undergo the treatment was based on her desire to take better care of her appearance.

She stressed that she was not seeking perfection or attempting to meet a particular standard of beauty.

“Day 1 of giving my face the love, care and attention it deserves. I’m not chasing perfection. I’m simply choosing to look refreshed, youthful, confident and very much like myself,” she wrote.

Ogbodo also emphasised that she wanted the decision to remain personal and free from societal pressure surrounding ageing.

“No hiding. No apologies. No pressure to age a certain way. This is my face. My journey. My choice,” she added.

Procedure Includes Threads And Fillers

The latest update comes after Ogbodo previously revealed details of the facial transformation she underwent.

According to the actress, the treatment involved a combination of threads, fillers and PDO treatment as part of her facial rejuvenation process.

The procedures are intended to improve the appearance and structure of the face without conventional surgery, although the immediate results can differ from the eventual appearance as the body settles after treatment.

Ogbodo’s decision to publicly document the process has also allowed her followers to see the less polished side of cosmetic treatments, including the swelling that can occur immediately afterwards.

Rather than presenting only the final appearance, the actress chose to share her day-one experience and her uncertainty about how her face looked.

‘Goddess Mode: Activated’

Despite her initial concerns, Ogbodo remained optimistic about the eventual outcome.

She ended her message on a confident note, asking her followers to anticipate the transformation as the swelling subsides.

“And baby… are we about to glow or what? Goddess mode: activated,” she wrote.

The actress’ willingness to discuss her cosmetic choices publicly reflects her broader approach to sharing aspects of her personal life with fans.

Her latest update comes weeks after she announced her separation from her estranged husband, Bobby Maris.

For now, Ogbodo appears to be documenting the different stages of her facial rejuvenation journey, while waiting for the swelling to reduce and the final results of the treatment to become more visible.
