Nigerian rapper Blaqbonez has revealed what he described as the major reason behind his long-running feud with fellow rapper Odumodublvck.
The revelation comes about a year after Odumodublvck suggested that their disagreement went beyond music and was not simply a rap beef.
The relationship between the two artistes has been strained for some time, with both rappers exchanging shots and making public comments about their differences.
In June 2025, Odumodublvck responded to a diss track from Blaqbonez, insisting that their disagreement was not merely a studio rivalry.
“You want to make it about studio. Na lie. We go meet again for the street. You know the level. This is not rap beef. Na me and you for this world,” he wrote on X.
The dispute escalated further in June 2026 when Odumodublvck made a series of allegations against Blaqbonez on X, including accusations of sexual abuse and claims that people within the music industry were protecting him.
Blaqbonez has now offered his own account of how the disagreement between them began.
Blaqbonez Explains What Happened
Speaking during a video interview with media personality Rufai Oseni, Blaqbonez claimed that the conflict stemmed from a woman whom both artistes had been involved with around the same period.
The rapper said he was unaware that the woman was also seeing Odumodublvck when he became involved with her.
“Odumodu and I were with a girl at the same time but I didn’t know she was with him too around the same time we met,” Blaqbonez said.
According to him, the situation became complicated after the woman allegedly contacted his manager and threatened to ruin his career.
Blaqbonez said Odumodublvck subsequently contacted him and accused him of disturbing his partner.
‘I Didn’t Know She Was With Him’
Blaqbonez explained that he denied intentionally disturbing the woman, saying they had previously been intimate and he only contacted her because she had sent him what he described as a strange message.
“I didn’t know that the girl was with Odumodublvck. I don’t really know at what point Odumodublvck came into the picture,” he said.
The rapper said he attempted to contact the woman to understand why she had sent him the message, but she did not answer his calls.
He subsequently blocked her and claimed they stopped communicating.
Blaqbonez said they later spoke again, at which point he discovered that Odumodublvck was involved with the woman.
He said that after discovering the connection, he deliberately avoided further contact with her.
Odumodublvck Allegedly Asked About Their Relationship
According to Blaqbonez, Odumodublvck contacted him shortly after their conversation and asked when he last had sexual relations with the woman.
Blaqbonez said he refused to provide an answer because he did not know what information the woman had already shared with Odumodublvck.
“Odumodublvck sent me a message five minutes after the call that when last did I have intercourse with her,” he said.
“And I told him bro, I don’t know what she told you so I can’t answer this question and affect anything that you guys have.”
The rapper said he believed he was trying to stay away from the situation rather than escalate the disagreement.
However, he claimed Odumodublvck subsequently told him that they were enemies because he had refused to answer the question.
‘She Was My Friend With Benefits’
Blaqbonez also clarified the nature of his relationship with the woman at the centre of the disagreement.
He said he would not describe her as his girlfriend because they never officially entered into a relationship.
“I can’t say she’s my girlfriend because we didn’t make it official. I called my relationship with her a friend with benefits because we were friends and we were intimate,” he explained.
Blaqbonez’s account provides his perspective on the circumstances that he says sparked the feud. However, Odumodublvck’s previous allegations and account of their disagreement remain part of the broader dispute.
