Nigerian music veteran Innocent Idibia, popularly known as 2Baba, is set to take his music to audiences in the United Kingdom and Ireland with a new international tour scheduled for August and September 2026.

The tour, titled ‘The Baba Experience’, will see the celebrated singer perform in eight cities across the two countries, giving fans an opportunity to experience his music and some of the songs that have defined his career for more than two decades.

The international tour is scheduled to begin in London on August 21 before moving to other cities across England and Scotland.

London Opens The Tour

London will host the opening concert on August 21, marking the beginning of the eight-city tour.

From London, 2Baba will travel to Manchester for the second show on August 22. The singer will then continue the August leg with performances in Sunderland on August 28 and Birmingham on August 29.

The final August concert is scheduled for Edinburgh on August 30.

The packed itinerary is expected to take the veteran artiste to different parts of the UK, particularly areas with significant Nigerian and African communities.

September Shows In Reading, Derby And Dublin

The tour will continue into September, with 2Baba scheduled to perform in Reading on September 4.

He will then head to Derby for another concert on September 5 before travelling outside the United Kingdom for the final stop of the tour.

The Baba Experience will officially conclude in Dublin, Ireland, on September 11.

The eight-city schedule therefore gives fans across England, Scotland and Ireland multiple opportunities to see the Nigerian music veteran perform live.

Tour Promoters Announce Concert Details

2Baba’s manager, Mallam Yankee, announced the tour itinerary, with Yankee Entertainment and BareN listed as the promoters behind the concerts.

Tickets for the shows are being made available through platforms including VTickets, Shoobs and Eventbrite.

The concerts are expected to attract longtime fans of 2Baba as well as younger listeners who have discovered his music through streaming platforms and digital media.

A Career Spanning More Than Two Decades

The upcoming tour comes as 2Baba continues to maintain his position as one of Nigeria’s most enduring music stars.

He first gained widespread recognition as a member of the popular music group Plantashun Boiz before launching a successful solo career.

The singer, who was formerly known as 2Face Idibia, went on to establish himself as one of the leading voices of Nigeria’s contemporary music scene.

Over the years, his music has incorporated elements of Afrobeats, R&B, reggae and African pop, allowing him to build a broad audience both within Nigeria and internationally.

One of his most recognised songs, ‘African Queen’, became particularly popular outside Nigeria and helped strengthen his reputation as a Nigerian artiste capable of reaching global audiences.

Fans To Experience The Baba Catalogue

The UK and Ireland tour is expected to showcase songs from different stages of 2Baba’s lengthy career.

For longtime followers, the concerts could provide an opportunity to relive some of the music that accompanied different periods of their lives. Younger fans, meanwhile, will have the chance to experience the veteran performer and his catalogue in a live setting.

The tour also highlights the continued demand for Nigerian music and artistes among African communities living abroad.

With eight cities included in the itinerary, ‘The Baba Experience’ promises to be a significant international outing for 2Baba.

The tour will begin in London on August 21, move through Manchester, Sunderland, Birmingham, Edinburgh, Reading and Derby, and conclude in Dublin on September 11.

For an artiste whose career has stretched across generations, the international tour represents another opportunity for 2Baba to connect his extensive musical catalogue with audiences around the UK and Ireland.
