Award-winning Ghanaian rapper Sarkodie has expressed deep concern over reports of renewed xenophobic violence in South Africa, following claims that a Ghanaian national was k!lled during the latest wave of att@cks targeting foreign nationals. The musician took to social media to share his disappointment, calling on South Africans to stand firmly against acts of violence and discrimination.

The reaction came after a report circulated online from Citi FM 97.3, which stated that a Ghanaian citizen had reportedly been shot dead as xenophobic att@cks escalated in parts of South Africa. The disturbing report quickly gained attention across social media, prompting many Africans, including celebrities, to voice their concerns over the recurring incidents.

Responding to the reports, Sarkodie described South Africa as one of his favorite places in the world but admitted he was saddened by the latest developments.

"Disappointed in one of my favorite places in the world, SA 🇿🇦. I know not everyone out there is involved in this, but this is insane and makes no sense!".

The rapper made it clear that he does not hold all South Africans responsible for the actions of a few individuals. However, he stressed that the growing trend of violence against fellow Africans cannot continue without stronger public condemnation.

He further appealed to South Africans to speak out more boldly against xenophobia, arguing that silence could allow the situation to worsen.

"I wish my South African brothers and sisters would speak up against this more strongly because it’s getting out of hand."

Sarkodie also extended his heartfelt sympathy to victims and families affected by the reported attacks, ending his message with a prayer for Africans facing difficult circumstances.

"God help our African brothers and sisters out there. 💔"

His statement has sparked widespread discussion online, with many social media users echoing his call for unity and peace across the African continent.
