Nollywood actress Nkechi Blessing has shared a blunt message about relationships, expressing her views on women who find themselves taking complete financial responsibility for their partners.

In a strongly worded post, the actress suggested that a relationship is unlikely to last when a woman is solely responsible for providing for a man while trying to hide the reality of the situation. According to her, the situation becomes even more difficult if the man is unwilling to work and still carries what she described as pride.

She wrote:

"Never think marrying a man you are clearly feeding will last, no matter how much you tend to cover it up; e no go ever end well.. if you come jam the one wey lazy still get dirty smelling pride join? your own don finish 🚶🏽‍♀️🚶🏽‍♀️".

Nkechi made it clear that she believes a healthy relationship should not place the entire burden of providing on one partner. Her message focused on women who are left to cater for virtually every need in the home while their partners make little or no effort to contribute.

The actress also stated that financial dependence alone is not the only problem. In her view, the situation becomes even harder when the partner receiving that support is unwilling to work yet still displays an attitude of pride rather than gratitude or a desire to improve.

Rather than offering a lengthy explanation, Nkechi allowed her words to stand on their own. Her post reflected her belief that commitment in a relationship should go beyond love, with both partners expected to contribute in meaningful ways instead of leaving one person to shoulder all the responsibilities.
