Iya Rainbow Explains Why People Mistook Baba Agbako For Pasuma's Father

For many years, one story has continued to follow Fuji music star Pasuma whenever discussions about his background come up. A lot of people have believed that the late Yoruba actor Baba Agbako was his biological father. Veteran actress Iya Rainbow has now stepped in to clear up the misunderstanding, insisting that the story has never been true.

According to the respected actress, there was never a family relationship between Pasuma and Baba Agbako. She explained that the confusion came from the fact that Pasuma's late mother was actively involved in the Yoruba movie industry and worked under Baba Agbako during her acting days.

Iya Rainbow said those who were part of the industry at the time know exactly how things happened and can confirm that the late actor was simply someone Pasuma's mother worked with. She noted that many people have continued to spread the wrong information despite the facts being well known among their colleagues.

She also recalled that Pasuma was no longer a little child by the time his mother introduced him to members of the industry. Because of that relationship, many of them became like family to the Fuji singer over the years.

Speaking on the issue, Iya Rainbow said:

"I am always surprised whenever I hear people calling the late Baba Agbako as Pasuma Wonder’s father. Lots of people just choose to say nonsense because how are they related? Late Pasuma Wonder’s mother used to be an actress just like me. Everybody in our industry can testify to it and she was under Baba Agbako then. Pasuma Wonder was already a grown up boy before his mother brought him to our industry. When Pasuma became popular he choose not to abandoned all of us that were closed to his mother including me. Pasuma Wonder is a very good son, I pray always for him that he wouldn't kpai young, he will live long in good health and sound mind in Jesus Name 🙏. I love Pasuma Wonder so much and may God bless him abundantly."

Beyond setting the record straight, Iya Rainbow used the opportunity to speak warmly about Pasuma's character. She described him as someone who has remained loyal to the people who shared a close bond with his late mother, even after achieving fame and success in the music industry.

According to her, the Fuji star never distanced himself from those who knew and supported his mother. Instead, he continued to show them respect and appreciation, something she believes says a lot about the kind of person he is.

Her clarification is expected to finally put to rest a rumour that has circulated for years. While many people had accepted the claim as fact, Iya Rainbow insists the real connection between Pasuma and Baba Agbako was through his mother's work in the entertainment industry, not through blood ties.

According to her, it is important that the truth is told, especially when it concerns people who are no longer alive to speak for themselves. At the same time, she remains grateful for the bond she still shares with Pasuma and continues to pray for his good health, long life and continued success.
