"I Helped Many Into Nollywood, Only Toyin Abraham Still Credits Me" — Bukky Wright

Veteran Nollywood actress Bukky Wright has shared heartfelt memories of how her relationship with fellow actress Toyin Abraham began, saying she is proud that Toyin has never failed to acknowledge the role she played at the beginning of her acting career.

Bukky Wright recalled meeting Toyin for the first time, describing her as a quiet and innocent young woman whose personality immediately caught her attention. According to the veteran actress, she felt drawn to Toyin and was happy to support her as she found her footing in the movie industry.

Recalling that moment, Bukky Wright said:

"The very first day l met Toyin Abraham she looks so timid and Naive which made me to like her and l thank God that l helped her then."

The actress said watching Toyin grow into one of Nollywood's biggest stars has been rewarding. She noted that beyond Toyin's success, one thing that stands out is her willingness to openly acknowledge the people who contributed to her journey.

Bukky Wright said Toyin has never denied the support she received from her in the early stages of her career and that the recognition means a lot to her.

She said:

"Toyin is really making me proud and she has never denied the fact that l was the person that brought her into the movie industry and l am part of her success story today."

The veteran actress also reflected on the many people she has supported throughout her years in Nollywood. According to her, Toyin is not the only person whose career she helped shape, but unlike Toyin, some others have chosen not to acknowledge the assistance they received.

Without mentioning any names, Bukky Wright said those individuals are fully aware of the role she played in their lives and careers, even if they no longer speak about it publicly.

In her words:

"I have so many people that came into the industry through me that Don't even acknowledge all l did for them then.

Though l wouldn't be mentioning names but these people know themselves my impact in their lives even if they chose to ignore me. All the Same l thank God for Toyin Abraham life."

Despite expressing disappointment that some people no longer acknowledge her contribution, Bukky Wright made it clear that she is not dwelling on the issue. Instead, she said she remains grateful for the opportunity to have positively influenced the lives of many actors and actresses over the years.

For the veteran actress, Toyin Abraham's continued appreciation serves as a reminder that genuine gratitude still exists. She said seeing Toyin succeed while continuing to recognize those who supported her journey is something she deeply appreciates, adding that she will always be thankful for the actress's life and achievements.
