Nollywood actress and filmmaker Tayo Sobola, popularly known as Sotayo Gaga, has expanded her growing catalogue of digital releases with the debut of Who Is Right, a contemporary Yoruba drama that officially premiered on YouTube on June 26, 2026.

Released through the Sotayo Gaga TV YouTube channel, the movie marks another step in the actress’ continued investment in direct-to-audience distribution while strengthening her presence in the evolving digital space of Nigerian cinema.

Produced under Sotee Entertainment and directed by Okiki Afolayan, Who Is Right arrives as a relationship-driven drama that places emotional conflict, differing perspectives and human pride at the centre of its storytelling.

The movie features a lead cast that includes Tayo Sobola herself alongside Lanre Adediwura and Kiki Bakare.

Ahead of the full release, anticipation around the project had already started building after the official trailer was introduced to audiences in April 2026.

Its eventual premiere attracted attention among followers of Yoruba-language cinema and viewers familiar with Sotayo Gaga’s style of storytelling.

The launch also coincided with another of her major cultural projects, Osun Dagbonu, which has continued to generate conversation and engagement on her platform.

With Who Is Right, however, the focus shifts toward interpersonal relationships and the emotional consequences of unresolved disagreements.

The movie explores situations that begin with ordinary misunderstandings but gradually evolve into larger conflicts when neither side is willing to compromise.

Built around the question suggested by its title, the story challenges viewers to think beyond simple ideas of right and wrong.

Rather than presenting easy answers, the drama explores how personal emotions, pride and perspective can influence decision-making and shape outcomes.

At the centre of the narrative are relationship tensions that become increasingly difficult to manage as communication breaks down.

The movie reflects everyday experiences familiar to many people and highlights how emotional reactions can sometimes escalate issues that may have been resolved through understanding and compromise.

By focusing on conflict and perspective, the production creates room for viewers to interpret situations for themselves and decide which characters acted fairly and which decisions worsened the problems.

This audience-driven approach has become increasingly common in modern Nollywood storytelling, especially in relationship-centred dramas where viewers are encouraged to engage emotionally with unfolding events.

The release of Who Is Right also reflects the growing role YouTube continues to play within Nollywood.

Rather than depending exclusively on cinemas or subscription-based streaming services, more producers are embracing free digital releases to expand audience reach and strengthen engagement.

For filmmakers, YouTube offers immediate access to viewers across different locations while creating opportunities for direct interaction through comments and audience feedback.

For audiences, it provides easier access to new productions without traditional viewing barriers.

Over time, this model has become an important part of how Nigerian filmmakers connect with both local and international viewers.

With Who Is Right now available for streaming, audiences interested in emotionally driven Yoruba dramas and stories centred on relationships and human conflict have another title to add to their watch list.

The movie’s debut reinforces Sotayo Gaga’s continued presence in Nollywood’s digital era while offering a story designed to spark conversations about pride, emotions and the difficult question of who is truly right when relationships begin to fall apart.
