Nigerian singer Portable and Nollywood actor Charles Okocha are set to revive one of entertainment’s most talked-about rivalries as both entertainers prepare to face each other again in a celebrity boxing rematch.

The upcoming contest, themed Unfinished Business, is scheduled to take place on July 31 at the Balmoral Convention Centre in Victoria Island, Lagos.

Organisers announced the event with a dramatic promotional message aimed at building anticipation among fans.

“Here comes the chaos! Africa, the stage is set. Now we settle the score. Portable, Charles Okocha, Agbaje, Musa. Four fighters, one ring, no more talk. July 31st.”

The rematch marks another chapter in a rivalry that has stretched beyond social media exchanges and moved into physical competition.

Their first boxing encounter took place three years ago and ended with Portable emerging victorious.

Now, both entertainers are returning to the ring with renewed attention from fans eager to see whether the outcome will remain the same or whether Okocha can reverse the result.

The disagreement between Portable and Charles Okocha originally began in 2023 following a dispute connected to a commercial collaboration.

At the time, Portable publicly accused the actor of failing to fulfil a financial agreement tied to a brand-related engagement.

According to the singer, he expected to receive N20 million after participating in the arrangement but claimed the payment never arrived.

The allegation quickly generated reactions online and led to public exchanges between both personalities.

Responding to the accusation, Okocha rejected Portable’s version of events and insisted there had never been a formal agreement guaranteeing such payment.

According to him, Portable initially approached him seeking friendship and closer association.

The actor explained that he later invited the singer to attend an event because he wanted to support and encourage him.

Okocha further argued that Portable’s involvement at the event was limited and did not amount to the level of contribution being claimed.

Despite that, he maintained that he still gave the singer what he described as “a whopping N5 million” after the appearance.

As public disagreement continued between both camps, the conflict gradually transformed into a celebrity boxing challenge.

That first match attracted attention across social media and entertainment circles, eventually ending with Portable recording a win.

Since then, both entertainers have continued to remain active in the public eye, often drawing reactions through their statements and appearances.

The announcement of this latest fight also comes shortly after Portable participated in another celebrity boxing contest.

The singer recently suffered defeat in a separate boxing encounter against streamer Carter Efe, adding another layer of interest to the upcoming rematch.

For some fans, the July event presents an opportunity to see whether Portable can bounce back from that loss.

Others are waiting to see if Charles Okocha can settle scores after falling short in their previous meeting.

With weeks left before fight night, anticipation is expected to continue building around what organisers are presenting as a continuation of unfinished business.

Whether the rematch ends in redemption or repeat victory, attention is already turning toward Lagos as both entertainers prepare to meet again inside the ring.
