“I Can’t Marry A Poor Man From Zero” — Kunle Afolayan’s Daughter Eyiyemi

Eyiyemi Afolayan, the daughter of ace filmmaker Kunle Afolayan, has shared her honest views on marriage, revealing why she is not interested in marrying a struggling man or becoming a second or third wife.

The young actress made the statement while speaking about relationships and the qualities she considers important in a life partner.

According to Eyiyemi, she has seen situations where some men remain loyal and committed during difficult times, only for their attitude to change after they become financially successful. Because of this, she said she is not comfortable with the idea of building from scratch with a man who has nothing going for him.

In her words:

"I can't be a second or third wife to any man. I also can't build with a man because some men are ingrates. If I should marry a struggling man, he will stay with me and be dedicated to me, not because he loves me but because he has no money at that time to be flirting around.

"Once he has money, he becomes promiscuous.

"I'm from a well-to-do home, so I will have to marry a man who has something going on in his life, not a poor man starting from zero."

Eyiyemi's comments reflect her personal beliefs about love, loyalty and financial stability in relationships. For her, a man's financial position is not just about money but also about direction, purpose and stability.

She explained that coming from a comfortable background has influenced the standards she has for marriage. Rather than taking on the challenge of helping a man build his life from the ground up, she would prefer someone who is already making progress and has established himself to some extent.

The actress also made it clear that polygamy is not an option for her. She stated that she cannot see herself sharing a husband with other women, insisting that she wants a marriage where she is the only wife.

While opinions on relationships and marriage often differ from person to person, Eyiyemi did not hold back in expressing hers. Her remarks have given fans a glimpse into her mindset and the expectations she has for her future partner.

For now, the actress appears focused on staying true to her convictions, regardless of whether others agree with them or not.
