Drake Beats Taylor Swift to Become Apple Music’s Most Streamed Artist of All Time

Music publication Chart Data has marked its 10th anniversary with a major collaboration alongside Apple Music, unveiling a list of the 20 most streamed artists of all time on the platform. 

The ranking highlights the biggest global names that have dominated digital streaming since Apple Music launched in 2015, with a strong presence of American artists shaping the top positions.

The list reflects the growing influence of streaming in global music consumption, where hip hop and pop continue to dominate audience preferences. 

Rappers alone account for a large portion of the chart, showing how rap music has become one of the most commercially successful genres in the streaming era.

At the lower end of the list, Eminem holds the 20th position, driven by a long catalogue of classic hits that continue to attract streams years after release. Justin Bieber follows in 19th place, maintaining his relevance through consistent chart success since his early teenage career.

British singer Ed Sheeran ranks 18th, supported by several global hits that have become streaming favourites. American rappers Rod Wave, Gunna, and Lil Durk occupy positions 17, 16, and 15 respectively, reflecting the rise of newer rap voices in recent years.

Kendrick Lamar sits at 14th, while Chris Brown follows closely at 13th, both artists maintaining strong streaming power through diverse discographies. Ariana Grande stands as one of only two female artists in the top 20, ranking 12th, highlighting her influence in the modern pop landscape.

Travis Scott and Post Malone take the 11th and 10th positions respectively, with Post Malone’s diamond-certified hits boosting his global streaming numbers. Kanye West comes in at 9th, continuing his legacy as one of hip hop’s most influential figures.

Morgan Wallen’s rise in country music earns him 8th place, while The Weeknd ranks 7th, cementing his status as one of the most streamed pop and R&B artists globally.

 Lil Baby follows at 6th, while Latin superstar Bad Bunny secures 5th place, reflecting the global expansion of Spanish-language music.

YoungBoy Never Broke Again takes 4th position, followed by Future in 3rd, both representing the dominance of modern trap music. Taylor Swift comes in second, maintaining her status as one of the biggest global pop icons of the streaming era.

At the top of the list is Drake, who claims the number one spot as the most streamed artist of all time on Apple Music, reinforcing his decade-long dominance in global music culture.

The ranking highlights how streaming has reshaped the music industry, rewarding consistency, global appeal, and strong digital engagement across genres and audiences worldwide.
