Delta Governor’s Aide Accuses VDM Of Seeking Attention From Tinubu Camp

A Senior Special Assistant to the Delta State Governor on Media, Ossai Ovie Success, has publicly criticized popular social media commentator VeryDarkMan, accusing him of deliberately using President Bola Tinubu’s name to attract attention and remain relevant in public discourse.

 

Ossai, who made his remarks in a strongly worded statement, claimed that VeryDarkMan’s recent comments about the President are not motivated by patriotism or concern for Nigerians, but rather by what he described as a consistent attempt to gain recognition from the current administration.

 

According to him, the activist has been making repeated efforts to draw the attention of the Tinubu-led government without success, and this, he alleged, has influenced his public posture and criticisms.

 

Ossai also suggested that VeryDarkMan’s stance on President Tinubu is not stable, predicting that his position may change over time depending on personal interests. He went further to describe him as someone driven by selfish motives, arguing that his public commentary lacks sincerity.

 

In his statement, Ossai Ovie Success said:

 

"Very Dark Man is doing clout chasing with President Tinubu Name. Everything he’s saying about President Tinubu is just clout chasing.

He’s been looking for the Tinubu administration’s attention, but it hasn’t worked. Don’t think VDM means well for you people.

He’s always been selfish. Mark my words: at the end of the day, he’ll still support Tinubu.

He’s blind to Tinubu’s achievements now because selfishness has clouded his judgment.

 I’m disappointed in him."

 

The aide maintained that VeryDarkMan’s criticisms of the President are not rooted in objective assessment but in what he believes is personal frustration over not gaining access or recognition from those in power. He further argued that such behavior reflects inconsistency in public commentary, especially on national leadership matters.

 

Ossai’s comments add to the ongoing public back-and-forth surrounding VeryDarkMan, who is widely known for his outspoken views on governance, accountability, and political leadership in Nigeria.
