Nollywood actress Adunni Ade has reacted angrily to a viral online report that referenced her past comment about her child’s father, accusing a blog of twisting her words and using her name for engagement-driven content.
The controversy began after a resurfaced TikTok interaction in which the actress responded to a fan who complimented her for being private about her personal life. In her response, she mentioned that her child’s father allegedly did not know she was pregnant until shortly before the naming ceremony.
However, the statement quickly gained traction online and was picked up by blogs and social media pages, sparking widespread discussion and renewed interest in her private life.
Following the viral circulation of the post, Adunni Ade took to her Instagram page to strongly condemn what she described as a misleading interpretation of her words. She accused a particular blog of deliberately merging unrelated content to create a false narrative about her life.
According to her, the platform has repeatedly targeted her over the years, despite several warnings and attempts to ignore what she described as online bullying and persistent misrepresentation.
In a lengthy statement, the actress expressed frustration over what she sees as a long-standing pattern of media harassment, insisting that she has tolerated the behaviour for more than a decade.
“For over 10 years, you have consistently tried your hardest to bully and ridicule me, but God no gree let you see road pass,” she wrote.
Adunni Ade further alleged that she had previously issued warnings to the blog in question but claimed her concerns were ignored. She stated that she is now ready to pursue legal action and allow the matter to be addressed formally in court.
“I have given you several passes and warnings, even as recently as last year. I come with receipts,” she added.
The actress questioned the authenticity of the viral post, arguing that it combined separate statements and comments in a way that distorted the original context of her message.
She also indicated that she had already gathered evidence, including screenshots and records of the post before it was taken down.
“You will have to explain to the court why you merged 2 separate posts and comments. Does this even make any sense? But not to worry, I’m coming for you. I play by the book, and you’re about to find out the hard way,” she said.
Adunni Ade went further to accuse the blog of profiting from her name and image over the years, suggesting that she intends to seek compensation if the matter proceeds legally.
“You have made so much money with my name; it’s time you paid me royalties. I am the most patient in the courtroom,” she stated.
She also claimed that the post had been deleted after it went viral, but insisted that she had already secured sufficient evidence for legal proceedings.
“I see you took down the post… well, I have collected my evidence, and you’ll still prove it in court,” she added.
The actress warned that she would no longer tolerate what she described as repeated misrepresentation of her statements, stressing that she is prepared to defend her reputation through legal means if necessary.
The development has since sparked mixed reactions online, with some users supporting her stance against misinformation, while others continue to debate the original comment that triggered the controversy.
