Nigerian singer Portable has once again brought public attention to his earlier claim involving Burna Boy, this time weaving it into a new conversation directed at Wizkid.
The singer, known for his outspoken style, revisited the story while speaking in a recent video, linking past events to a fresh suggestion involving another entertainment personality.
In his narration, Portable referred to an incident he says happened months ago, where he allegedly received ₦20 million connected to a confrontation involving Burna Boy and Speed Darlington. He spoke in a casual tone, repeating his version of events as he explained how the situation unfolded from his perspective.
“The last time Speed Darlington and Burna Boy had issues, he paid me N20 million to beat him in a boxing match. I did it and he paid me,” Portable said.
He continued by describing his role during the disagreement, insisting he aligned with Burna Boy during the period of tension. According to him, his involvement was active and not passive, as he claimed to have taken part in the confrontation linked to the dispute.
“The time wey Burna Boy and Speed Darlington get issue, wey Speed Darlington dey insult Burna Boy, na me help Burna Boy beat am,” he added.
Portable also explained that the payment he mentioned was only made after what he described as fulfilling an agreement tied to the encounter. He maintained confidence in his account, stressing that the arrangement was honoured once the situation played out.
“He promise me N20 million, and he give me. Burna Boy no just invite me like that if I no win, he no go give me the money. I win, na why I collect the N20 million,” he said.
He further elaborated that he would have taken a different stance if the alleged payment had not been made, suggesting he would have spoken out publicly.
“If he promise me money and he no give me, I go call am out. Na God say make I no call Burna Boy out, na why he come give me,” he added.
After revisiting the earlier claim, Portable turned his focus to Wizkid, putting forward a direct suggestion that mirrors the situation he previously described. He called on the singer to consider sponsoring a ₦20 million arrangement involving comedian Carter Efe, insisting he would be capable of handling the engagement in the same manner he claims occurred in the earlier case.
He went further to challenge Wizkid more directly, expressing confidence in his ability to deliver a similar outcome and positioning the proposed arrangement as a continuation of his past experience. According to him, the same terms he believes applied previously could be replicated, this time with Carter Efe as the counterpart.
Portable framed the idea as an extension of his earlier claim, suggesting that what he described as a previous agreement could be recreated under a new setup involving Wizkid and Carter Efe, with identical expectations attached to it.
