Social media has been thrown into mourning following reports that Ibadan-based TikTok content creator, Aunty Abake, has died after she allegedly collapsed while on a live broadcast.

The incident reportedly happened during one of her regular livestream sessions on TikTok, where she was interacting with viewers in real time. According to accounts shared online, everything appeared normal at first until she suddenly became unwell on camera. The livestream was abruptly cut off shortly after viewers noticed the unexpected change, leading to widespread confusion among her audience.

Shortly after the incident, reports began circulating that she had been rushed for medical attention, but she was later confirmed dead. However, at the time of this report, there is still no official medical statement or verified confirmation explaining the exact cause of death.

 Aunty Abake had posted a distressing video where she revealed that her shop had been targeted by armed robbers. In the emotional clip, she explained that the attackers made away with goods worth millions of naira. She described the experience as deeply painful, adding that the loss affected almost all her life savings and left her in a broken state emotionally.

In her own words during the video, she said the incident “wiped out almost everything I had worked for and left me completely devastated and heartbroken.”
