Popular Nigerian gospel artist Moses Bliss has shared a deeply personal account of a difficult period his family faced when his wife was struck by a sudden and unexplained illness.
In a heartfelt narration, the singer explained that the situation came without warning and left him shaken.
“Something happened last year, that I had not shared it. All of a sudden, I don't know where the sick#ess came to test my faith.”
What started as discomfort quickly escalated into something far more serious. His wife began experiencing intense pain on one side of her body, making even basic movements difficult. Breathing soon became a challenge, adding to the fear and confusion surrounding her condition.
“My wife became ill one side of her body is paining her, she could not lie on her back. Before you know what, she couldn't breat#e properly. We don't know what is going on.”
Medical intervention became inevitable as the symptoms worsened. According to him, they made repeated visits to the hospital, undergoing several tests, yet no clear diagnosis was given. The uncertainty created emotional strain, not just for him, but for the entire household. At one point, he admitted he broke down in tears.
Family members had to step in to help care for their child, while emergency services became part of their routine during critical moments.
“It became serious, we had to start going to the hospital. They were doing all sort of test and they didn't know what was going on. At some point, I started crying. It now got to a point my in-laws had to be staying with us to help us take care of our son. We now had to be calling ambulanc£, when it gets really serious.”
As the situation intensified, Moses Bliss rushed back to be with his wife at the hospital. Doctors reportedly informed him that she might need to remain admitted for an indefinite period. Faced with that reality, he turned to what he knows best his faith. Sitting beside her, he began speaking words of encouragement and prayer into her life.
He described what happened next as something he did not expect.
“My wife was in p@in, every moment, she's complaining to me. Then I flew back, I got to the hospital. The doctor said, she has to be here indefinitely and then, I began to preach to my wife. I sat beside her and pump the word of God into her heart. One hour into my trip, she calls me that she's on her way home. She said the doctor came and said no p@in, nothing, you can go home.”
The experience left a lasting impression on the singer, marking a period filled with fear, uncertainty, and what he believes was a sudden turnaround. His story offers a rare glimpse into the personal struggles behind the public image, revealing the emotional weight carried during that challenging time.
