Nollywood actress Doris Ogala has once again brought her ongoing dispute with cleric Chris Okafor into the spotlight, alleging that there is a fresh attempt to have her arrested.
In an emotional video shared online, the actress claimed that police officers unexpectedly arrived at her residence, creating panic and confusion. Speaking tearfully, she said she was unsure how the officers gained access to her home and questioned their presence.
“I have police people in my house, I do not know where they are coming from. I do not know how they entered my house,” she said.
Ogala further alleged that the situation is connected to her long-standing issues with the cleric, insisting that he is responsible for the repeated legal and police actions against her.
“I have police in my house. They say they are from Lagos. Chris does not want to leave me alone. He has carried me to three courts. Now, he has taken me to more than seven police stations. There is one in zone 2. There is one in Abuja zone 7.
“Chris is the one sending them. They have surrounded my house. If you people do not see me again, you should hold Chris Okafor,” she added.
The controversy between both individuals dates back to last year, following reports of the pastor’s engagement to his now-wife, Pearl Okafor. At the time, Ogala publicly claimed that she had been in a relationship with the cleric since 2017 and alleged that she made significant personal sacrifices based on promises he made to her.
According to the actress, she ended her previous marriage at his request, believing that they would eventually formalise their relationship. However, she later accused him of betrayal when he moved on and got married to another woman.
The dispute escalated further when Ogala demanded that the cleric either marry her or compensate her financially for what she described as a breach of promise. She reportedly placed a ₦1 billion claim, intensifying public attention around the matter.
In addition to the relationship claims, the actress also made serious allegations linking the pastor to the death of her brother—an accusation that significantly heightened tensions and sparked widespread reactions online.
Despite the controversy, Chris Okafor proceeded with his wedding to Pearl, holding both traditional and white ceremonies. His actions appeared to deepen the rift between both parties, with the situation continuing to play out in public.
At one point, the cleric dismissed Ogala’s outbursts, describing them as “the devil’s anger” in reaction to his marriage. He later issued a public apology acknowledging aspects of their past relationship, but the apology was short-lived as he withdrew it weeks later, adding another layer of complexity to the dispute.
Since then, the back-and-forth between both sides has remained a topic of discussion, with each development drawing reactions from the public and social media users.
Ogala’s latest claims of police involvement have now added a new dimension to the conflict, raising concerns about her safety and the ongoing legal tensions between both parties.
As of now, there has been no official response from Chris Okafor regarding the fresh allegations. The situation continues to unfold, with many observers closely watching for further developments in what has become one of the most talked-about personal disputes in recent times.
