The residence of popular Nigerian music duo, the Adegbodu Twins, has been attacked by armed robbers in a disturbing incident that has left the family shaken.

The invasion reportedly took place on Tuesday night around 9 p.m., just days after the burial of one half of the duo, Taiwo Adegbodu, who passed away earlier this year.

Details of the incident were shared by his twin brother, Kehinde Adegbodu, in a video posted online on Thursday evening. In the emotional clip, Kehinde revealed that the attackers broke into the family home and made away with several personal belongings.

According to him, items stolen during the robbery included clothes, shoes, mobile phones, and gold, among other valuables. The incident has since heightened fears about the safety of the family, especially given the timing so soon after a major personal loss.

Kehinde expressed concern that the attackers may have targeted the home under the assumption that money from donations made during his late brother’s burial was still in the house. However, he clarified that he no longer had access to any such funds.

He explained that the money contributed for Taiwo’s burial had already been used, including expenses related to the funeral and completing parts of an unfinished building where his brother was laid to rest.

Providing further details, Kehinde recounted what he was told about the robbery, noting that one of the attackers reportedly made a phone call during the operation.

“Kehinde is not at home. We met his wife and his late brother’s wife with their children. We can’t find any money in the house,” he quoted one of the robbers as saying.

The singer also revealed that he was not present at the time of the incident, as he had travelled to Osun State when the robbery occurred. He said he received a distress call from his late brother’s wife, prompting him to rush back home immediately.

“I wasn’t at home when the incident happened. I was in Osun State when my late twin brother’s wife called me. I had to rush down home because everyone at home was scared and the children were terrified seeing people with guns,” he said.

The traumatic experience, especially for the children who witnessed the armed men, has left the household deeply unsettled. Kehinde used the opportunity to appeal for understanding and safety, insisting that he has no money left and should not be targeted.

“Please I don’t have any money with me again. I have used the money donated for Taiwo’s burial and the finishing of our uncompleted building where he was buried,” he added.

In a heartfelt plea, he also addressed anyone who might feel wronged by him, asking for forgiveness despite insisting he had not offended anyone.

“And if you’re coming for me for offending you, please forgive me. I’m pleading for forgiveness even though I know that I did not offend anyone,” he said.

Kehinde stressed that his main reason for speaking out publicly was to draw attention to the family’s vulnerability and seek protection.

“I’m doing this video because my family is no longer safe. I don’t want our name to become popular again for bad news,” he said.

The tragic sequence of events comes shortly after Taiwo Adegbodu’s passing on March 1, 2026. He was later laid to rest on March 31, marking a painful period for the family.

The robbery has added another layer of distress to an already grieving household, raising concerns about security and the safety of public figures and their families.
