Michelle Mukoro, popularly known as influencer King Mitchy, is alive, as her management has officially retracted an earlier announcement claiming she had died.

The clarification comes after days of confusion and panic across social media, where fans and followers were led to believe the influencer had passed away.

In a new post shared by her team, they simply stated, “Michelle is okay now,” putting an end to the widespread rumors. The statement underscores that Mitchy is safe and has not suffered any fatal incident, contrary to previous reports.

The controversy initially erupted amid a heated online clash between Mitchy and activist VeryDarkMan over the handling of charitable projects. Mitchy had recently shared that she renovated a school in just six days, a feat that drew both praise and scrutiny.

She also challenged VeryDarkMan over his management of public donations since 2025, adding fuel to the social media dispute.

The situation escalated further when VeryDarkMan alleged that Seyi Tinubu, son of President Bola Tinubu, was funding Mitchy’s philanthropic efforts.

These claims intensified public attention and scrutiny, especially as Mitchy’s business Instagram account reportedly went offline following the dispute.

Adding to the chaos, a disturbing live video circulated showing Mitchy consuming a substance believed to be a bleach product called “hypo.”

The video heightened fears for her safety and led to her management issuing a statement announcing her death.

According to the initial post, Mitchy had allegedly died at Prime Care Hospital in Abuja, with medical staff unable to revive her. The management urged the public to respect the family’s privacy amid the tragedy.

However, Prime Care Hospital quickly refuted the death claims. The medical facility confirmed that Mitchy was never admitted to their hospital and warned that legal action would be pursued against anyone spreading false information about the incident.

The hospital’s statement helped clarify the situation, but not before social media was flooded with messages of grief and condolences from fans.

The incident highlights the rapid spread of misinformation on social platforms and the consequences it can have on individuals’ reputations and mental health. It also serves as a reminder that viral content, particularly regarding high-profile personalities, should be verified before being accepted as truth.

King Mitchy’s management has now appealed for calm and emphasized that the influencer is safe. While the situation caused unnecessary panic, it also drew attention to her charitable works, including her commitment to improving educational facilities.

Mitchy’s recent activities, like the quick renovation of a school and her ongoing philanthropy, continue to receive public attention despite the controversy.

As the dust settles, fans and followers are urged to focus on verified updates from her official channels and to avoid sharing unconfirmed reports. The incident underscores the influence of social media in shaping narratives, especially for public figures, and the need for responsible sharing of information.

For now, Michelle Mukoro remains alive and active, and her management assures the public that she is okay. The influencer’s supporters can finally breathe a sigh of relief while continuing to follow her work and social media updates.
