Governor of Lagos State, Babajide Sanwo-Olu, has honoured mothers across the state as part of celebrations marking Mother’s Day, commending their dedication and the vital role they play in nurturing families and strengthening society.

In a message shared on his official page on X on Sunday, the governor acknowledged the countless sacrifices made by mothers and praised their resilience in raising responsible citizens who will shape the future of the state.

“Today, I want to wish mothers across Lagos a Happy Mother’s Day,” he wrote.

The governor also expressed appreciation to women who are raising the next generation of Lagos residents, acknowledging their patience, strength and commitment to their families.

“To every mother raising the next generation of Lagosians, thank you for your patience, your resilience, and your love. We see you, and we appreciate you,” he added.

Sanwo-Olu further encouraged mothers to take time to enjoy the recognition that comes with the special celebration, describing it as an opportunity for them to rest and feel valued for their contributions.

“I hope you have a restful and beautiful day. You deserve it,” the governor said.
