Nollywood actress and reality TV star Beverly Osu has opened up about her experience in the entertainment industry, stating that she believes the work she has done over the years should have made her a billionaire by now.

The actress made the remark during a recent episode of the Ghacha’s Chough podcast, where she discussed her career journey and the challenges many entertainers face, particularly when it comes to fair pay and recognition.

According to Beverly, the effort and dedication she has invested across different areas of the entertainment industry should have translated into greater financial success.

Speaking during the podcast, Beverly said she believes her professional portfolio and years of hard work are strong enough to place her among the wealthiest entertainers on the continent.

“I have worked so hard, my portfolio is enough to make me a billionaire not just in Nigeria but in Africa,” she said.

The actress also explained that while she considers herself humble, she is confident that her experience and body of work deserve better financial rewards.

“I am a very humble person but I know that my portfolio is enough to make me a billionaire. So, I am fighting for better wages. I have tried different facets of the entertainment industry. From being a luxury model to video vixen to reality TV star and now actor. I have paid my dues,” she added.

Beverly first gained widespread recognition in 2013 when she represented Nigeria in the eighth season of Big Brother Africa: The Chase. Her participation in the popular reality TV show made her one of the most talked-about contestants that season, and she eventually finished among the finalists.

Before appearing on the reality show, Beverly had already started building a career in modelling and entertainment. She worked as a model and video vixen, featuring in music videos for several Nigerian artistes including Ice Prince, Djinee and Kizz Daniel.

Following her rise to fame from Big Brother Africa, Beverly expanded her career into acting and has since appeared in several Nollywood productions. Some of the films she has featured in include Chief Daddy, Òlòtūré, Nneka the Pretty Serpent and Who’s the Boss.

Over the years, she has remained active in different aspects of the entertainment industry, including film, television and modelling. Despite her achievements, Beverly believes there is still a significant gap between the work entertainers put in and the financial rewards they receive.

Her comments reflect a broader conversation within the Nigerian entertainment industry about fair compensation and the economic value of creative talent. Many actors and entertainers have in recent years spoken about the need for improved pay structures and better financial opportunities for professionals in the sector.

Beverly, who was born in Lagos and hails from Delta State, continues to pursue opportunities across film, television and modelling while advocating for better pay and recognition for creatives in the industry.
