Nollywood actress Sarah Martins has continued to speak out over her recent encounter with a delivery rider, following widespread reactions sparked by claims that the man lost his job after professing his feelings for her.

Earlier reports had indicated that the rider alleged he was sacked after Sarah exposed his inappropriate messages. The actress had shared screenshots of their private chats, questioning whether she should feel guilty for his alleged dismissal, while describing his conduct as disrespectful and disturbing.

However, in a fresh update, Sarah clarified that the rider’s claims were untrue. According to her, investigations revealed that he was never fired but merely cautioned by his employers.

“He lied about being sacked, and I just confirmed from the company he works with that he was only cautioned and was never sacked. This is the height of emotional blackmail, and to show how low people can go to make u look bad,” she wrote.

Venting further, the actress expressed concern over the potential consequences of such behaviour, especially if she had been married.

“Did you pause to think, what if I were to be a married woman? So this is how he goes about professing his love to every good-looking woman he delivers for?” she questioned.

Sarah also disclosed that she uncovered a pattern in the rider’s conduct, revealing that several women had previously experienced similar advances from him.

“I also discovered this wasn’t his first, second or third time he’s been stalking women after making deliveries to them,” she added.

Addressing accusations that she deliberately tried to sabotage his livelihood, Martins insisted her intentions were misunderstood, stressing that she only wanted the situation addressed to prevent future misconduct.

“Heaven knows my heart is pure, and I will never do anything to remove food from anyone’s table, regardless of their actions. My aim in reporting him to the vendor was to caution him, not to have him sacked, only for the vendor to report him to the actual delivery company he works with, which gave him a warning as usual, and that was all,” she explained.

She further accused the rider of attempting to manipulate public perception by fabricating a false narrative about being dismissed from work.

“This emotional blackmailer of a delivery man had to come back to my WhatsApp to lie about me making him get sacked for professing love to me… My question is, what was his intention for cooking that lie?” she asked.

Expressing disappointment in the backlash she received online, Sarah lamented the level of hostility shown by some social media users.

“Nigerians, we can do better! At least I had the opportunity to block over 160 people this morning, who used it as an opportunity to show their level of hatred for me! Everywhere is good,” she wrote.

The actress’ latest outburst is not the first time she has publicly confronted inappropriate behaviour. In 2024, she called out a male colleague who allegedly sexualised her, claiming he made suggestive remarks after watching a scene in which she appeared in an intimate role.

In another incident that same year, Sarah addressed a married woman who accused her of being her husband’s side partner. She firmly denied the allegation, asserting that she does not interfere in marriages and even claimed the woman’s husband was involved in a same-sex relationship.

Martins also previously recounted an encounter with a married man who boldly asked for her phone number for an illicit affair, an advance she said infuriated her to the point of slapping him.

Through these experiences, Sarah Martins continues to speak openly against harassment, manipulation, and what she describes as the misuse of public sympathy to excuse inappropriate behaviour.
