Israel Afeare, popularly known as Israel DMW and a close aide to Afrobeats star Davido, has strongly criticised investigative journalist Kemi Olunloyo over her recent claims concerning the singer’s children.
Israel’s reaction followed Olunloyo’s response to a press briefing held by Davido’s father, Dr. Adedeji Adeleke, in which she alleged that the billionaire businessman had two autistic children and further claimed that Davido’s twins also shared the same condition. The remarks sparked widespread backlash online, prompting Israel to publicly shut down the allegations.
Reacting via social media, Israel described Olunloyo’s statements as false and malicious, insisting that none of Davido’s children are autistic. He stressed that the singer’s children are healthy, well cared for, and living good lives, adding that Davido and his wife, Chioma, have deliberately chosen to keep them away from public scrutiny.
“None of Chairman’s children are autistic. They are all looking good and well-kept.
Oga’s children are very healthy.
His decision to keep them out of social media is best known to him.
They attend the most expensive school in Atlanta.
Aunty wey no get sense,” Israel wrote.
He went further to accuse Olunloyo of clout-chasing, claiming that her actions had dragged Davido’s father into unnecessary public discourse. In a strongly worded outburst, Israel expressed outrage that Dr. Adeleke, whom he described as a reserved man, was forced to address issues on social media because of Olunloyo’s commentary.
“Yeye Kemi. You made a whole good and reserved chairman, to be talking on social media, because of your clout chasing, your clout chasing.
After dragging your own father till he finally died.
Oloriburuku Aunty,” he added.
The controversy surrounding Davido’s family has intensified in recent days following Dr. Adeleke’s press conference, where he addressed the long-running paternity dispute involving a 12-year-old girl, Anu. During the briefing, the billionaire businessman stated that Anu is not his granddaughter and shared details of DNA tests he claimed were conducted in the past to establish the truth.
Dr. Adeleke also accused Kemi Olunloyo of impersonating the minor online in order to attack Davido. He questioned the legality of impersonating a child on social media and disclosed that the family was considering legal action over the matter.
The issue gained further traction last week when Anu took to Instagram to publicly request a DNA test to confirm her identity. In her post, she detailed the emotional toll the controversy has taken on her, revealing that she had been bullied by classmates who mocked her claims of being Davido’s daughter.
In response, Davido denied being her father, stating that he had already undergone five DNA tests, all of which reportedly returned negative results. The singer expressed frustration over the renewed claims, describing the situation as distressing and unfair. He also warned that Anu’s mother would be held accountable, threatening to take legal action.
Hitting back, Anu expressed heartbreak over Davido’s response, accusing him of cursing, bullying, and threatening to have her mother imprisoned. She alleged that the singer had never met her mother but was publicly insulting her and claiming he had conducted multiple DNA tests involving her.
Adding her voice to the dispute, Anu’s mother shared screenshots of alleged chats between Anu and Davido. She claimed that the singer had ignored her for years, believing he had picked up a prostitute from the GQ Club in Ibadan. She also called on the United States State Department to contact diplomatic missions in Lagos or Abuja to help supervise and witness an independent and transparent DNA test.
As the controversy continues to unfold, Israel DMW’s reaction reflects growing frustration among Davido’s inner circle over what they describe as misinformation, harassment, and exploitation of sensitive family matters for public attention.
