Just like many in the Nigerian film industry, veteran Nollywood actor Saidi Balogun is still struggling to come to terms with the sudden death of his colleague, Allwell Ademola. The tragic news has left Nollywood in deep shock, with actors, producers, and fans expressing disbelief over her untimely passing.


According to Nollywoodtimes, the actress reportedly died after suffering a heart attack at her residence. The heartbreaking incident was first made public on the 27th and was quickly confirmed by several of her colleagues through social media tributes. Popular Nollywood stars including Damola Olatunji, Mr Latin, Faithia Williams, and Bidemi Kosoko were among the first to announce and mourn her passing.


Taking to his Instagram page, Saidi Balogun shared a photo of himself with the late actress, revealing that the picture was taken barely two weeks ago at a public event. The actor expressed deep sorrow, describing her death as surreal and painful.


“It still feels so unreal… if only we could turn back the hands of time, but God knows best.


This was about 2weeks ago. If only… Allwell, your smile remains frozen in time. Your aura is unforgettable.”


Saidi Balogun’s emotional tribute resonated with many fans, further highlighting how unexpected and devastating the loss has been. His message painted a picture of a vibrant woman whose presence and warmth left lasting memories.


He is not alone in his grief. Rotimi Salami, the late actress’ best friend, also poured out his heart in a deeply emotional message. Rotimi revealed that despite 72 hours of uncontrollable tears, reality still refuses to sink in.


He admitted that “all wasn’t well” at the moment, but emphasized his determination to stay strong for the sake of his family, friends, devoted fans, and most importantly, his children. According to him, learning to move forward is now a painful but necessary journey.


The sudden death of Allwell Ademola has once again sparked conversations around health awareness in Nollywood, as colleagues and fans continue to mourn a life cut short far too soon.
