Nollywood actor Kunle Remi has sparked laughter and reactions online after revealing the unusual bet he made with his wife following Nigeria’s defeat at the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON).
According to a report by Nollywoodtimes, the Super Eagles of Nigeria were defeated by the tournament hosts, Morocco, after a tense match that ended in a 4–2 penalty shoot-out. The decisive moment came when Atlas Lions’ goalkeeper, Yassine Bounou, emerged as the hero of the night, making two crucial saves that secured Morocco’s victory and sent the Nigerian team packing.
Reacting to the outcome, Kunle Remi took to Instagram to share the lighthearted but daring bet he and his wife had agreed on before the match. The actor explained that the terms of the wager were straightforward but risky.
“The bet was simple.
If Nigeria wins, I do nothing in the house till the next AFCON.
And if Morocco wins, I will live and sleep in the kitchen.
Oh well.
Say hi to my new luxurious kitchen space.
PS: I still love the Super Eagles.”
