American singer, reality TV star and songwriter Tamar Braxton has opened up about her struggles with love and relationships as she reflects on being single at the age of 48.

According to Tamar, she genuinely believed she would be married by now and possibly settled into a stable family life.

Tamar described herself as “wife material” and insisted that she knows exactly what she wants in a partner. She stressed that her desire is not unrealistic, as all she seeks is a good man with strong values.

 The Love and War hitmaker revealed that she has encountered men she considers “regular,” whereas she believes she deserves someone who aligns with her standards and emotional needs.

While addressing her dating struggles, Tamar also took a moment to reflect on her own personality and how it may have contributed to her situation. She admitted that her strong, confident, and assertive nature could sometimes come across as intimidating to men. 

According to her, some potential partners may assume they are unable to meet her expectations, which discourages them from approaching her in the first place.

The singer further revealed that she identifies as an “alpha female,” a trait she believes may have unintentionally pushed some men away. She acknowledged that while confidence is a strength, it can also be misunderstood, especially in romantic relationships. 

As a result, Tamar shared that she is consciously making efforts to soften her approach and be more open emotionally.

Tamar disclosed that she is actively working on embracing a gentler side of herself, stating that it is a daily process. 

She noted that growth requires self-awareness and accountability, and she is committed to making changes that could improve her chances of finding lasting love. Despite her frustrations, the singer made it clear that she has not given up on love and still believes the right man will come at the right time.
