Popular comedian, actor, and motivational speaker Woli Arole has offered heartfelt counsel to fast-rising TikTok sensation Peller following the wave of reactions that trailed his unsuccessful attempts to meet American streamer iShowSpeed during the latter’s recent visit to Lagos.
The episode, which played out publicly on social media, sparked widespread debate after videos showed Peller repeatedly trying to get the attention of the global content creator. While many online users mocked the TikToker, Arole took a different approach, choosing encouragement, reflection, and guidance over ridicule.
Sharing his thoughts via Instagram, Arole praised Peller’s boldness and resilience, describing his actions as evidence of uncommon courage rather than shame. According to him, the willingness to pursue opportunities—despite the risk of embarrassment—is something many critics lack.
“My words to @peller089. I celebrate your audacity despite you being BIG here in Nigeria, you wanted to meet ‘Ishow Speed’ when he came to Nigeria, that’s some guts there!” Arole wrote. “Despite what seems like an embarrassment, you still tried again. A lot of people bashing Peller don’t even have half of his influence, money, or reach, so we must talk to him with grace, not just to rubbish him.”
While acknowledging Peller’s growing fame and reach, Arole emphasized that success without structure can be fragile. He advised the content creator to focus on personal development and long-term brand building rather than momentary viral moments.
“My candid Advice to you, Peller: Please get a solid Management. Please seek education; it will solidify your brand. Please have elderly people in your team,” he stated. “Seek solid Branding. Overall, don’t stop. Be careful how you talk; words carry power. Be cautious of pride; it can make anyone fall.”
Arole further urged the TikToker to remain teachable and grounded, reminding him that fame is fleeting if not backed by wisdom and character. “Learn to listen when you’re talked to, too. Life is more than fame. Peller, you’re our goat here. God bless you!!!” he added.
As part of his message, the comedian resurfaced an old clip in which Peller had once claimed he would ignore iShowSpeed if the streamer ever visited Nigeria. Arole used the moment as a subtle lesson on the importance of being mindful of one’s words, especially in the digital age where statements can resurface unexpectedly.
Peller had gone viral after clips showed him chasing iShowSpeed’s convoy through Lagos streets, attempting to climb a moving vehicle, and even riding a horse in traffic in hopes of meeting the streamer. While some viewers found the scenes entertaining, others criticized them as excessive and embarrassing.
Despite the backlash, not everyone was critical. Socialite Cubana Chief Priest publicly defended Peller, insisting that ambition should not be mocked. He maintained that there is no disgrace in taking bold steps to pursue one’s dreams, even when the outcome is uncertain.
Arole’s message has since been widely applauded online, with many praising his balanced approach—acknowledging Peller’s influence while stressing the importance of maturity, guidance, and education as the young creator navigates fame.
For many observers, the moment has become less about a missed meeting with iShowSpeed and more about a broader conversation on growth, humility, and sustaining success in Nigeria’s fast-paced digital entertainment space.
