Nigerian media personality Daddy Freeze has become the latest public figure drawn into the ongoing paternity dispute involving music star Davido and Anu Adeleke, the teenager who claims to be his daughter, following a heated exchange with Anu’s mother, Grace Ayotomide Labinjoh.

The renewed controversy erupted after Daddy Freeze publicly stated that Davido was not Anu’s father, claiming he had seen one of the DNA test results said to have been conducted. His comment immediately drew a sharp response from Anu’s mother, who accused him of helping to spread what she described as false narratives.

In a detailed reaction shared online, Ayotomide posted images of a DNA test reportedly conducted in 2014, insisting that the test was flawed and unreliable. According to her, no proper DNA swab was carried out, alleging that only blood samples were taken under questionable circumstances.

“Daddy Freeze, we will request another test because the only DNA test that was done was altered in September 2014,” she wrote. “There was no DNA swab. They took Anu’s blood, and Davido’s blood was drawn separately in a room in which we were not allowed to enter.”

She further dismissed claims that Davido had taken five DNA tests, insisting there was no documentation to support such assertions.

“The ONLY DNA TEST he did is what you saw. Post it! The false negative test with a big bag of money,” she added. “There is no record of five DNA tests anywhere, and I never picked any hospital. Dr Adeleke picked the hospital lab and paid for it. It is not ours.”

Ayotomide accused the singer’s camp of constantly changing their narrative, noting that earlier claims referenced two tests, which later became five.

“Last year they said it was two. Today it’s five. Stop using the power of influence to brainwash Nigerians to believe lies. Money cannot buy everything,” she said, adding that their late family lawyer initiated the original test alongside Davido’s father. “We are not familiar with Lagos test centres.”

Reacting to her claims, Daddy Freeze responded with what he described as fatherly advice, urging her to stop engaging the issue on social media and focus on raising her daughter.

“You are just like a daughter to me because your father was my lecturer,” he said. “I will advise you to raise this child yourself and do everything to make sure she becomes successful. If the father is de@d, will you not raise her?”

He warned that no one could compel Davido to submit to another DNA test and cautioned that continued public pressure could backfire legally.

“Take this issue off social media, because nobody can force Davido to take a DNA test. He can file that you are harassing him and the government will give you a restraining order,” Freeze stated.

While encouraging her to seek legal redress if she wished, he suggested reputable lawyers who might offer pro bono services. However, he also criticised the public airing of personal details surrounding the circumstances of Anu’s birth.

“You coming on social media to tell the world that you had your daughter out of a nightstand doesn’t look good on you,” he said. “You were a waitress, and you claim a man approached you for s*x and you agreed just like that; it is not good.”

The clash comes amid a wider public debate that began earlier in the week when Anu herself appealed online for a DNA test, citing bullying, emotional distress and ridicule from classmates over her claim of being Davido’s daughter.

Davido, in response, denied paternity and maintained that multiple DNA tests had already proven he was not the father. He expressed frustration over the recurring allegations and warned that Anu’s mother would be held accountable.

Anu later reacted emotionally, accusing the singer of bullying and threatening her mother, while disputing his claims of having conducted five tests.

As the dispute continues to unfold, public reactions remain divided, with calls growing louder for the matter to be resolved privately and through proper legal and medical channels rather than on social media.
