Popular social media activist and influencer, VeryDarkMan, has reacted strongly after controversial tech entrepreneur Blord named his newly launched application Ratels, a move that has intensified existing tensions between both public figures.

The development has sparked widespread debate online, especially within the Igbo business and digital advocacy community. VeryDarkMan, who has previously clashed with Blord over differing ideologies and public criticisms, did not hold back in expressing his displeasure, suggesting the app’s name was a deliberate attempt to provoke him.

Reacting to the situation, VeryDarkMan alleged that Blord has been unable to confront him directly and has instead resorted to narrative manipulation. In his words:

“Blord cannot stand me; he can’t challenge me.”

He went further to question Blord’s intellectual and educational standing, insisting that the ongoing hostility is rooted in insecurity rather than substance. According to him, the feud escalated after a prior disagreement, which he claims led Blord to accuse him falsely of attempting to undermine Igbo-owned businesses.

VeryDarkMan stated:

“Educationally, Blord can’t lace my boots. Since I had a fight with Blord, he’s been pushing the narrative that I’m trying to spoil Igbo businesses.”

He also suggested that the backlash he has been receiving from certain quarters is a direct result of what he described as coordinated attacks driven by misinformation.

“Since then, they’ve all been coming for me.”

Addressing comparisons between them, the activist emphasized both intellectual capacity and financial backing, asserting his strong network of supporters and investors.

“Blord isn’t as educated or intellectual as I am, and when it comes to money, I have many people ready to invest.”

The controversy has continued to trend across social media platforms, with supporters of both men engaging in heated exchanges. While some believe the naming of the app is coincidental, others argue it is a calculated move meant to stoke rivalry and generate publicity.

As conversations around digital activism, entrepreneurship, and ethnic solidarity intensify, many observers are calling for restraint and maturity from both camps. Whether the Ratels app naming is strategic branding or subtle provocation, one thing remains clear the feud between VeryDarkMan and Blord is far from over and continues to dominate Nigeria’s online discourse.
