The ongoing marital drama between controversial Nigerian street-hop singer Habeeb Okikiola, popularly known as Portable, and his wife Bewaji has taken a fresh turn following his explosive Instagram Live outburst. The singer publicly accused his wife of emotional neglect, claiming her attitude pushed him into having multiple baby mamas and side relationships.
During the live session, Portable insisted that he desires to have only one wife but alleged that Bewaji failed to show him care, affection, and respect. According to the Zazu crooner, his wife no longer checks up on him, refuses to cook for him, and withholds intimacy, despite the fact that he provides for her.
“I love to have only one wife, but the one wife I had never checked up on me or cared about me. It is you women who push your husbands outside,” Portable said during the emotional rant.
The singer further claimed that he had pleaded with Bewaji for forgiveness after another woman got pregnant for him, but alleged that she still refused to show understanding. He accused her of refusing to stay with him, not calling him, and denying him food and intimacy, despite what he described as the respect he gives her.
“You don’t call me, you don’t give me food and s*x on time. You don’t kneel for me, yet you kneel for your pastors, despite the fact that I was the one who trained you,” he added.
Portable also recounted a personal moment where Bewaji allegedly refused to share her body cream with him, claiming she feared other women would snatch him away. “You didn’t allow me to use your cream, you said, ladies will snatch me. See how dark my skin is,” he lamented.
In what many fans believe is a subtle but pointed response to her husband’s accusations, Bewaji shared a video of herself on social media with a short but powerful caption: “You have changed. Because I no gree mumu again.”
The post has since sparked widespread reactions online, with social media users divided over the couple’s public exchange. While some sympathize with Bewaji, praising her for standing her ground, others criticize both parties for airing their marital issues publicly.
