Nollywood actress Olatoun Olanrewaju has publicly called out Iyan Aladuke, the wife of her colleague and filmmaker, Femi Adebayo, over accusations that allegedly linked her to the couple’s ongoing marital troubles.
In a lengthy and emotional series of posts shared online, Olatoun narrated how her relationship with Iyan Aladuke began, insisting that she never had any sexual or inappropriate involvement with Femi Adebayo. According to her, she had known the actor long before his marriage and had always related with him strictly as a mentor, senior colleague, and friend.
Olatoun explained that it was Iyan Aladuke who initially reached out to her via Instagram direct message in 2023, after discovering they both had autistic children. She stated that the shared experience created a bond between them, leading her to trust and confide in Iyan, whom she described as an “aunty.”
“I have known Femi Adebayo as a mentor, senior colleague and friend before you both got married. I had even kept my distance since you both got married. However, you reached out to me through Instagram Dm and we became close in 2023 because I also have an autistic child who is about 11 years old now,” she wrote.
The Yoruba actress further alleged that beyond seeking advice on caring for her child, Iyan Aladuke began using her to monitor her husband’s movements on film locations and to gather industry information about him. She claimed their conversations often involved deeply personal matters and that while neither of them was perfect, she felt Iyan’s actions went too far.
Olatoun accused Iyan Aladuke of being responsible for the breakdown in her marriage, alleging that events on the set of Jagun Jagun 2 in October 2024 marked the beginning of the crisis. She claimed that Iyan did “unspeakable things” to her husband during the production, which escalated tensions in their home.
“In October 2024, on the set of Jagun Jagun 2, you did unspeakable things to your husband, and that started your predicament in your family. Iyanaladuke, please use your mouth and say the things you did publicly and boldly,” she stated.
According to Olatoun, she attempted to mediate between the couple after Iyan confided in her about the situation. She claimed she pleaded with her repeatedly to seek peace, warning her with examples from her own marriage, but alleged that Iyan refused to back down and vowed that her husband would “never know peace.”
The actress further accused Iyan of plotting to frame her and damage Femi Adebayo’s reputation after their marriage deteriorated. She alleged that Iyan planned to spread false stories, including claims of diabolical practices and manipulation of fame.
“It never bothered me until you told me you wanted to use me to create a lie to tarnish his image… You said you’ll tell people that I took you to a prayer place and would lie that Femi used the glory of his children… I immediately knew you were using me because you believe I won’t speak,” she wrote.
In a strongly worded post, Olatoun denied being responsible for Iyan’s downfall and challenged her accuser to speak openly about her own actions.
“Iyanaladuke, you’ve taken too much from me… If at all I have ever had evil intentions against you, your family, or sexually interested in your husband… may it not be well with me forever,” she added.
This reaction comes months after Iyan Aladuke publicly accused Olatoun of ruining her marriage, describing the alleged betrayal as deeply painful. The situation gained further attention when reports emerged that Iyan’s popular eatery in Yaba was sealed by the Armed Forces over an alleged unpaid bank loan.
The marital crisis has continued to unfold publicly, with social media users noting that Femi Adebayo and his wife unfollowed each other on Instagram. While Iyan previously hinted at reconciliation by sharing loved-up videos with the actor and their daughter, the renewed exchanges suggest the conflict remains far from resolved.
