There is a popular saying that oil and water can never mix—a metaphor that perfectly captures the turbulence surrounding two high-profile Nigerian couples: Senator Ned Nwoko and Regina Daniels on one hand, and music legend 2Baba Idibia and politician Natasha Osawaru on the other. Though these relationships began with glamour and public intrigue, both unions have gradually descended into conflict, allegations, and emotional strain.

Since Nollywood actress Regina Daniels married billionaire politician Ned Nwoko in 2019, their relationship has attracted continuous public attention. Their enormous age difference—Nwoko reportedly in his sixties while Regina was in her early twenties—sparked national debate from the very beginning. At a point, critics even alleged she was underage, a claim Nwoko repeatedly dismissed, insisting that their marriage complied with Anioma customs.

But even that marriage was marred by accusations of infidelity, emotional strain, and drug-related issues. Thirteen years later, in early 2025, the couple announced their separation.
Only weeks after parting ways with Annie, 2Baba went public with his relationship with Edo State lawmaker Natasha Osawaru—granddaughter of Chief Gabriel Igbinedion. The announcement was met with mixed reactions. Some fans supported the new union, but members of his family, including his mother and brothers, reportedly expressed strong disapproval.
Despite the backlash, the couple tied the knot on July 25, 2025, in a private traditional ceremony in Abuja, blending Idoma and Benin customs. Their marriage, however, quickly became a topic of controversy. Those close to the singer alleged that Natasha was “bad for business,” claiming she interfered with his team and projects.
