The Theatre Arts and Movie Practitioners Association of Nigeria (TAMPAN) has shared official details surrounding the death of Nollywood actress Allwell Ademola, who passed away on Saturday, December 27, 2025, after a brief illness.

According to the association, Ademola reportedly developed acute breathing difficulties and was rushed to a medical facility for urgent care.
“She is reported to have complained of inability to breathe properly which led to her immediate admission to the hospital where she was placed on oxygen,” the statement read.
The actress was taken to Ancilla Catholic Hospital in Agege, Lagos, where doctors placed her on oxygen support in an attempt to stabilise her condition. Sadly, despite medical intervention, she did not survive.
TAMPAN described the late actress as a dedicated professional who remained active within the association until her passing. The group noted that Allwell Ademola was not only a respected filmmaker but also a committed member of the Guild of Directors and the larger TAMPAN family.

Since news of her death broke, tributes have continued to pour in from across the Yoruba film industry and beyond. Several actors have expressed shock, noting that the actress appeared active and healthy shortly before her passing. Some colleagues revealed that she had ongoing projects and plans, making the loss even more painful.
