Nollywood actress Iyabo Ojo is celebrating a major personal milestone as she marks her 48th birthday, describing the occasion as one of the happiest moments of her life.
The outspoken movie star, who had been counting down to the big day with visible excitement, took to her Instagram page to share stunning new photos of herself. In her post, Iyabo reflected on her journey so far and revealed that this year’s birthday holds special meaning for her, calling it her best celebration yet.
According to the actress, becoming a mother-in-law and a grandmother has been the most priceless gift she has received, a blessing she said outweighs material achievements. Expressing deep gratitude to God, Iyabo declared that the joy and favour surrounding her life would be lasting.
“This is one of my best birthdays. Daddy, adding ‘mother-in-law’ and ‘Glamma’ to my title is the best gift I got this year. Thank you, Lord, — and yes! It shall be permanent,” she wrote.
The actress went on to open up about her personal definition of success and wealth, noting that her priorities have always been centred on happiness, family, and peace of mind rather than material possessions.
“I’ve always told God that the only riches I desire are happiness and my kids, family, and loved ones thriving. I’m blessed because I’m surrounded by blessings,” she shared.
Iyabo also expressed optimism about the future, thanking God for how far she has come in 2025 and confidently declaring greater things ahead. “Thank you, Lord, for making 2025 my year; I know 2026 is mine too. I’m God’s own special child, and I don’t take it for granted. Clock it! Happy birthday to me!” she added.
As expected, the post was met with an outpouring of love from fans, colleagues, and fellow Nollywood stars, many of whom flooded her comment section with warm birthday wishes and prayers.

Veteran actress Lola Margret added a playful note, calling her “Iysexy,” as she wrote, “Happy birthday, Iysexy. The sexy glamma.”
The celebrations had already begun a day earlier, as Iyabo shared photos from her first birthday look on the eve of her special day. In that post, she explained that she was stepping into her birthday season with gratitude and a thankful heart.
According to her, the past year has been filled with countless blessings that she could not take for granted, reinforcing her faith and appreciation for life’s journey.
